This is the deepest spot in Osaka, the so-called "red-line district". You will be so surprised by the prostitutes with school-uniform costumes on, waving hands from very traditional Japanese houses. The area's history will be well explained by the guide NO PHOTOGRAPHS if you don't want to get killed by Yakuzas protecting this area!
One of the most famous ghetto areas in Osaka, very few places where you can see homeless people in Japan. It used to be dangerous with more Yakuza gangs and drug dealers, but the area has been keeping becoming cleaner and cleaner for these 10 years for the Tokyo Olympics. Now here is also known as a cheap backpacker hostel area for tourists with very few homeless people left, so it's very safe to visit here. The local guide who was born and raised in Osaka tells you everything about Osaka's social problems and things that most Japanese people won't discuss!

Daiki did a great job providing commentary and explaining all that I was seeing. He was flexible in customising the day to cover what I wanted to see. Had a vast knowledge of Osaka and Japan. I would recommend Daiki for all of your Osaka/Kyoto tours. It was a wonderful day and finished it off with a fantastic dinner of eel.

*A little late on the review but still wanted to write it* This was definitely one of the most enjoyable experiences I had while in Japan. Daiki is an awesome tour guide and very knowledgeable on a variety of pieces within Osaka and Nara. From the beautiful views of temples and shrines to the stunning sightline of the castle and walls lining the Osaka Castle, Daiki provided insight and historical information to make the trip that much more enjoyable! Ending the time with a nice dinner, this was an incredible experience and genuinely enjoyed the time spent, even solo, talking and learning about the Culture that Daiki loves so much. I absolutely recommend his services and tours for anyone going, regardless if you're solo or with a family.

Special Half Day Trip To Nara from Kyoto
Published on Apr, 2025
We booked a day trip to Nara with Daiki Fukashi (WadaFTours) and he was amazing. He customized our entire trip to our interests. He provided enormous insight and was extremely knowledgeable about shrines/temples, customs, architecture, and culture. He was very professional and polite. He even recommended a local sushi spot, that turned out to be one of our most authentic meals. Overall do not hesitate to book with Daiki Fukashi (WadaFTours) it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip.
