Our local guide will provide insight into how locals enjoy their nights. We will enjoy simple, seasoned Kyoto appetizers in a traditional atmosphere! Moreover, you can try 3 different kinds of Sake produced in Kyoto, so you can enjoy authentic Kyoto sake with Kyoto foods! Vegetalian course is available.     We will stop by a traditional restaurant that serves Kyoto local foods such as Obanzai (Kyoto vegetable plates).

  • Pontocho District

    We will try another Kyoto local cuisine at the second stop. Pontocho is located in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City, and is a red-light district and entertainment district between the Kamo River and Kiyamachi Street. There are many restaurants and souvenir shops.

    At the final stop, we'll taste Japanese sake at the standing bar. Also soft drinks are available.

  • Kamogawa River (Pass By)

    Kamogawa River The Kamo River is a river that runs from north to south through Kyoto City, stretching for about 27km, originating near Mount Sajikigatake and flowing to the confluence with the Katsura River. It is a river that has nurtured the capital and Kyoto culture for a thousand years throughout its long history, and even today, in the midst of a large city, it maintains its clarity and is loved by many as a place of relaxation.

Rica was incredible! She did so much more for us than just provide an excellent foodie tour. The food was excellent, each location was special and unique, and we learned a ton about the culture and history of this beautiful city Kyoto! Highly recommend!

Shun was a great host and wonderful to talk to and learn from about Kyoto and greater Japan. All three of the destinations were within the Gion district and had different and unique vibes from one another. Very enjoyable!

My partner and I went on a foodie tour with Naru on our first night in Kyoto and it was 10/10! We visited bars and restaurants that only locals would know about, the food and drinks were delicious and Naru provided so much information about Kyoto.

We had a great night eating Japanese food and drinking Japanese drinks at venues that we would never have gone to. Our guide was knowledgeable and gave information on sites around the area and a history of Geisha’s. It was informative. We also met other people in our group and had a great night. I’d recommend the foodie tour.
