We loved Amy!!

We had a fantastic time in Kyoto thanks to our guide, Amy! She kept everything organized through a WhatsApp group and made sure everyone felt included. Amy was super friendly, brought snacks for the group, and had a great sense of humor that kept us smiling all day. Her English was excellent, and she made communication easy for everyone. She was always happy to take photos—often suggesting fun poses—and really went above and beyond to make the experience memorable. We truly appreciated all her effort!

Amazing boat cruise in Tokyo

I had a great time at this boat cruise, it was nice to do a different activity as we were so tired from walking. I would recommend this to everyone. Arigato!

When to visit

Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are the best times to visit Japan, thanks to cherry blossoms and colorful fall foliage. Summers are hot and humid, while winters bring snow to the north and mountains. Avoid Golden Week (April 29–May 5) if you prefer fewer crowds, as it's one of Japan’s busiest travel periods.

Getting around

Japan’s transport is world-class, with the Shinkansen bullet train offering fast, reliable travel between major cities. Metro systems in Tokyo, Osaka, and other cities are easy to navigate, with English signage widely available. The Japan Rail Pass is a smart option for tourists covering long distances.

Traveler tips

Respect for rules and etiquette is central to Japanese life. Remove shoes before entering homes or temples, wash before entering onsens, and avoid eating or talking loudly on public transport. A little cultural sensitivity goes a long way in making your trip smooth and memorable.
