Overview

Sigiriya Rock Fortress the 8th Wonder of the World is considered as a placed not to be missed by anybody who visits this beautiful Island. Pidurangala rock another historical place located next to Sigirya and has become a trending place with among both locals and foreigners. Dambulla Cave Temple is known as one of the oldest and biggest rock temples in the world. The Safari at Minneriya National Park will make your trip complete. This 03 hour off road trip will allow you to see hundreds of Elephants in their natural behavior at their own place. Tour in a traditional village is another interesting item you can add for the day.  These key places are located within close proximity. Situated in the Matale District, Central Province of Sri Lanka, situated 148 km (92 mi) north-east of Colombo and 72 km (45 mi) north of Kandy.

I had an amazing trip and it was very cheap as well. Worth every penny, communication was good and everybody I interacted with could speak English. Car and driver both were really nice so really enjoyed the trip.

We had a fantastic trip with Mahaweli Tours to Dambulla, Sigiriya and Minneriya National Park. It is a long, long day if travelling (as we did) from Colombo, but it's absolutely worth it. Our driver and guide Sarath was fantastic and spent the day sharing his knowledge and love for this part of the world. He was also happy to accommodate us, and was waiting for us every time we exited one of the attractions. We even stopped off for a roadside king coconut. A great day.
