    You will learn about the history of this museum & its collection, many of which were owned by famous people.

  • Balliol College (Pass By)

    You start the tour at Oxford's oldest college and hear a brief history of Oxford & the University. Note that we do not go inside any buildings during the tour. If you are interested I recommend you visit after the tour, where you can spend as much time as you need, rather than being rushed.

  • Radcliffe Camera (Pass By)

    Probably Oxford's most photographed building. But what is it? Hear about its history, its architects & the use of its hidden tunnels.

  • Bridge of Sighs (Pass By)

    You get to see a bridge that wouldn't look out of place in Venice & how its used in an annual Oxford University tradition.

Wonderful Evening

I was hosting a business delegation from China and asked Tony to take us on a tour of Oxford. My guests were really happy and impressed with Tony's knowledge and level of detail that he could describe the history, architecture and context of events. They were still singing his praises later that evening well after the tour had finished. Thank You Tony for a lovely evening. I learnt things about Oxford that I hadn't known, and I live here!

The Oxford Walking Tour with Tony was really outstanding. We gained a lot of insights about Oxford and the area, heard funny and interesting anecdotes and learned a lot. Tony knows his stuff very well, past and presence, and every question got a quality answer. He is just so knowledgable about modern as well old history, knows about architecture, literature and Oxford university. Moreover he is a great storyteller and so the 90 min just flew by. Thanks, Tony !

Best Small Tour

It was such a fun tour. Small group so it allowed for more interactions and more personable. Tony had a great knowledge about the city as well. This a tour for those who don’t like the big crowds and who favor a general overview of the city.

Enlightening walk

We are all local to Oxford but decided that we could do with knowing more about its history and buildings, so spent a great hour and a half with Tony on a Friday evening. Going round a relatively small area in the centre of Oxford, we learnt so much that you'd never otherwise find out. Great insights and historical stories! We realised that we walk around with our eyes closed much of the time, missing lots. Tony brought it all to life and we'll enjoy our city with a new outlook and plans for new things to do. Thanks very much for a fun evening.
