A fun and relaxing late afternoon boat ride on the Thames and Cherwell made a great start for our visit to Oxford. The ship's captain was very funny, and even more informative as we were introduced to many of the sights of Oxford from unusual vantage points. One area of special interest was Boathouse Row, where the many colleges of Oxford house their racing boats, training rooms, and private pubs. Oh, and the tea, scones with clotted cream and jam, and finger sandwiches were delicious. We would love to do this again.
