For photographers, we’ll take you to the very best spots to catch that perfect image, for historians we’ll take you on a journey through the history of our “Sceptr’d Isle. If Literature or crafts are your thing, we’ll take you to Kelmscott Manor, home of William Morris. A truly special and relaxing experience!

Peter from Cotswold Tours & Travel took me and my husband around the highlights of the Northern Cotswolds. We loved it! Peter was an excellent guide, the car was comfortable, and the tour was entirely bespoke to our interests. Because my husband and I are avid gardeners, Peter arranged to spend much of the afternoon at Hidcote and Kiftsgate, which were outstanding. He also managed to avoid the crowds and took scenic country roads, so we got a serene, special experience in the countryside. There is no way we could have navigated a tour like this without a knowledgeable guide. In addition to the tour, the company was easy to communicate with, highly responsive, and made helpful suggestions regarding travel and lunch. Overall, a really great experience.

Wonderful day in the coutryside

Our family had a wonderful day in the Cotswold with our guide, Mark Element. He was very knowledgeable and adjusted things based on our interests. He also has a great sense of humor. The authentic lunch at a local pub topped it off. It was a nice change from the hectic schedule, crowds and traffic in London.

My wife and I booked this trip for our 20th wedding anniversary. This was our first visit to the Cotswolds. We wanted an authentic experience that minimized anything "touristy" by as much as possible. Cotswolds Tours & Travel absolutely delivered. Best vacation ever. We spent a full day with two different tour guides (Mark & Rob) and each was excellent. My wife and I were a bit concerned about spending a full day with one person on a private tour. What if we did not like the guide? Would we grow fatigued of having to "be on" all day with someone unfamiliar. NONE of this happened. It was such a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Another point....these tour guides are true locals. The Cotswolds is their actual home, so they both love the area and also know it intimately. We took so many cool backroads throughout the region with cool stories along the way. We will return to the Cotswolds for years to come and would never even consider exploring any other touring company. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful experience in the Cotswolds

Our family of five toured with Cotswold Tours and Travel for two days in the beautiful Cotswolds. The entire experience exceeded our expectations. Rob, our tour guide, was an exemplary professional throughout our travels. He happily fulfilled our personal requests and wowed us with the itinerary each day. Rob was thoughtful, extremely knowledgeable, and his positive demeanor and passion for the area made our experience one we will never forget. A tailored, human experience

Booked a private tour and spent the day with Mr. Robin Dale who is so knowledgeable about the different villages and history of the area. He showed me some of his hedgelaying work and was so generous with his knowledge. He always ensured I had enough time to explore the areas on my own and that I saw everything I wanted to see. What a unique experience - another human sharing their life history with you as you visit the most picturesque spots. I will remember this day for a long time to come!
