Amazing way to learn about croatian history and controversies during Split and Croatia history

Very different kind of tour not with the basic things but a deeper dive in the History of Split then other tours. Definitely a must.

The tour covers ancient to modern times, from the Romans to the Yugoslav war and the modern day. The emphasis is on how the history of places we visit affects Croatian society today. Includes the history of the Jewish ghetto and the evolution of the Pride marches in Split. Marin, an anthropologist and school teacher, clearly does this as a labour of love. I've never been on a tour like it - a great way to understand the place.

Outstanding tour with a thought provoking guide. Marin is not only knowledgeable but engaging and a true humanitarian.
