    Visit of a former cheese farm to receive an explanation about cheese making. After this, you will have some time to taste their cheeses in their shop.

  • Molen De Kat

    Visit a working industrial paint mill. You can see how all the mechanics work, see a movie about how this windmill operates and climb up to the platform for the best view possible.

We spent a fabulous afternoon on a private excursion with Kenny. Zaanse Schans is a beautiful, quaint little village which did not disappoint! We enjoyed seeing how wooden shoes are made, tasting lots of cheese and seeing the inner workings of a windmill. Kenny was engaging and has a vast knowledge of the area.

The tour guide was excellent you could tell she was well informed and that she liked her job. The fact we were picked up at the hotel was so convenient. The tour was fabulous the windmills amazing. Perfect tour.

Maaike was our tour guide/driver….she has an extensive knowledge of the area and her grasp of the history in each site was impressive She was very kind and just a lot of fun..

Maiki was fabulous. She walked us around the town, giving us the history of the town and the windmills. We got to see how clogs were made (who knew how quickly) , taste some freshly made cheese a and got to go inside a windmill , see the inner working and go to the top and see amazing views. I highly recommended this tour
