Experience a night out exploring the JDM car scene from inside one of the most legendary JDM sports cars, the Mazda RX-7 (FD) …put your seatbelts on and enjoy! We will take you on the iconic C1 and Wangan highways, see spectacular views of Tokyo, make stops at epicenters of Japanese Car Culture the legendary Daikoku and Tatsumi plus others and see an eclectic collection of cars from classic to absolutely wild. We have the experience, the knowledge, and the absolute desire to make your memories from Japan the best that they can be. Your time is precious to us and we want to fill it to the brim with fun, passion, and excitement. Run by professionals with over 30 years of insider auto industry knowledge, and a lifetime preoccupation for cars, we know we can do that. We will share stories, history, and the current state of the industry and the car scene with you. But we also want to learn about your piece of the world and the car culture there. Let's GO!

Itinerary

  • Rainbow Bridge (Pass By)

    On the way we will cross the Tokyo Rainbow Bridge with views that are simply divine, spectacular, awe inspiring. There are many places that you can see Tokyo skyline but this one can only be seen from the car, and what a view it is! On one side you will see a spectacular city scape full of building and on the other, equally impressive buildings of Odaiba island with its amazing Fuji TV building.

  • Tatsumi No.1 Parking Area (up)

    There are many ways to experience a vibrant city like Tokyo but nothing compares to a highway run around the city. Looping the iconic C1 Hwy, immortalized in video games and in car lore, weaving between buildings and through tunnels just hits different. City-scapes are spectacular. We will take a 20min break at Tatsumi PA, a place where many car enthusiasts come for a stop while making loops on the highway or getting ready to head to, or are coming back from Daikoku PA. Approximately 30-40min of driving in comfort and 20-30min stop to stretch your legs.

  • Odaiba District (Pass By)

    While crossing the Tokyo Rainbow Bridge you will get great views of Odaiba, the man-made island home to residential buildings, shopping, and leisure activities. You will get a chance to see the unusual Fuji TV building among others.

  • Yokohama Bay Bridge (Pass By)

    Just before arriving at Daikoku PA you will get an amazing view of the Yokohama Bay Bridge and off the Yokohama skyline. Yokohama is a major cruise ship stop and you may see those also.

  • Daikoku Parking Area

    Heading towards your final destination we will take the Wangan Hwy. This is a long straight highway connecting Tokyo and Yokohama made famous by the street racing escapades of the '90s and a manga, aptly named Wangan Midnight. Ever since then it has been the artery connecting key epicenters of Japanese Car Culture. Daikoku PA is an unassuming parking area that has been a place for nightly car gatherings for decades. You can see iconic JDM machines from stock, classic to wild time attack builds, from drift machines to Kaido Racers, and from obscure to highly popular. There is probably something for everyone there. You will also find plenty of Euro metal and American muscle. If you are lucky, you may see supercars, vintage classics, lowrider, and hot rods, you name it. You will be driven in comfort for 30-40min and rest for 2hrs to stretch your legs, shop, and drink if you so desire. All along we will immerse you in the stories behind the car culture and life in Japan.

Fun tour of exciting Tokyo car culture

My family and I had a great time experiencing Tokyo's car culture on a Sunday tour! Michael drove us around to some key areas, and then the featured Daikoku Parking Area, which is a highway rest stop and can only be accessed by car. It was great to hear about Michael’s life in Tokyo and his knowledge and passion for cool cars. He helped us see some fun cars and people and get a glimpse into this aspect of Tokyo life. The tour was relaxed and fun, with plenty of time to soak it all in.

Taking the chance of biz trip for Japan, I booked this day trip to see the cars what I heard it is supposed to be amazing! I got some free time and booked the trip here, that was unexpectedly much more fun than I imagined!!it’s not just a few cars… soooo many interesting cas come out to the day, in the sun, all those cars look stunning! Not only this, many people would gather here to walk around and talk, it’s not the culture we would expect anywhere outside of Japan! People are so nice to talk with! One thing I need to say here is, I booked this trip was because all other tour schedules were full at the time, although this one was still only 1 review but I noticed the person running it mentioned that he had been working in the automotive industry 20+ years! Since I am also working in the same industry, this trip definitely will make the unexpected plus for my work :) well, it did!! He is an amazing person, so friendly and not only about the 20+ year’s industry knowledge, also the wide range of the preferences!! I was content with this trip and hope this review can be some reference for those are considering booking the trip for Daikoku.
