Embark on a delicious and insightful journey through Guadalajara’s history and culinary heritage. With a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Guadalajara, I'll bring a deep understanding of the city’s cultural landscape. The tour begins in Colonia Americana, where you can soak in the modern-day vibes. As we walk through 4 neighborhoods (2.2 miles) we'll stop at hidden eateries to savor local delicacies. The tour concludes in the historic city center, showcasing its architectural gems and historical landmarks. Indulge in a curated selection of local favorites such as barbacoa, birria, pozole, tortas ahogadas, and fish or pastor tacos. Wash it all down with samples of tequila, beer and tejuino. In this private tour only you and your companions will participate, allowing you to explore at your own pace. All entrance fees and food samples are included.

    Step back in time to Colonia Americana, Guadalajara's historic district built by 19th-century Mexican, European, and American industrialists. Admire the beautifully preserved eclectic architecture lining the leafy streets. This neighborhood has transformed into the city's hippest hangout, brimming with young energy. Here, we’ll have the opportunity to visit locally owned restaurants and street stands, where you can savor the city’s most authentic and traditional dishes.

We'll be interacting with friendly vendors, sampling exotic fruits and indulging in delightful artisanal candies. Make sure you bring cash to snatch up unique souvenirs, handicrafts, and the perfect gifts for loved ones back home. (Don't worry, ATMs are readily available if needed. Vegan and vegetarian dishes are also available)

    Immerse yourself in history and art at Guadalajara 's stunning Hospicio Cabañas! Explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site and admire an astonishing set of 57 murals by Jose Clemente Orozco, one of the three greatest muralists of Mexico. Unravel the stories behind the architectural marvel and delve into the powerful murals. This UNESCO site has strict regulations regarding external guides, but feel free to explore the museum at your own pace. Unforgettable Personalized Tour

This was an unforgettable tour with an incredibly knowledgeable guide. We started our day at the local market for some delicious birria breakfast, went to a museum, bought tickets to see an orchestral performance at the theatre, and then toured and learned about the city and it's people. I wanted to see a library and we made a stop there just for me! We got to see the city's beautiful churches and eat yummy pastries. My boyfriend wanted to know about some of the artisanal local beers, and we ended the tour there.

A great experience with a great guide

Diego was a great and knowledgeable guide. He new all the local history and just about every building. Took us to some spots we'd never would have found on our own. He took us to breakfast and to get some bread at local spots that were amazing. Highly recommend this tour.
