  • The Douro Valley

    First demarked wine region in the world, the Douro Valley is the birthplace of the famous Port Wine talked about around the world. A land full of terraces with difficult to work terrains with very hot climates, able to produce exceptional types of grapes which then transfers its exceptional properties to Douro wines. Let your self be amazed at this amazing region. This is the tour in a nutshell and the time spent here includes the wine tastings, lunch, boat cruise and drive from and to Porto. Depending on the traffic, it may be more.

  • Miradouro Torguiano De Sao Cristovao Do Douro

    First viewpoint of the centre of the Douro Valley!! From here, you can admire the beautiful scenery of Pinhão, docking place from where the Porto Wine would be shipped to England, stopping first at Vila Nova de Gaia for the aging process.

  • Douro River

    The famous river that gives the name to the Region, the Douro River! Here you will have the opportunity to take a boat cruise ride up the river from Pinhão. It takes about 50 minutes and you will be able to see a lot of vineyards built in the difficult terraces. It translates in a lot of sightseeing. You can decide on the spot if you want to go.

  • Pinhao Railway Station (Pass By)

    Railway station from 1880 that first connected the village of Pinhão to Porto. Without it, the villagers would only travel by boat, costing them 5x the time of a train ride to reach the big metropolitan city. It received 24 beautiful panels of tiles in 1937 representing different aspects of the lives of the villagers. Still active today, it’s a very iconic landmark for Pinhão.

Bruno was a wonderful guide! He provided good historical commentary and ensured we had authentic experiences along the way. The tastings at local winery’s were wonderful and the lunch he organized was an authentic Portuguese meal. Absolutely the highlight of our trip to Porto!

The perfect day! Bruno planned a private tour just for the two of us. We visited three wineries and had a tour of one of the underground cellars. Bruno is extremely knowledgeable about the area and has great connections with the locals. Because of this, we were able to visit small local places we would have never found otherwise including a small charming coffee shop with amazing views of the valley and a lunch spot where we were spoiled with the most fabulous and delicious food. Bruno catered to my dietary restrictions of no fish with the most amazing steak while still providing wonderful fish cuisine for my partner. The price for the tour was very reasonable and we received little extras including tasting some very special aged bottles of port, olive oil and local honey. We learned so much and left with full bellies and happy hearts. If you’re taking a tour, go with Bruno! He is the best.
