Overview

Good for avoiding crowds, we guide small groups that give you a more local immersion personalized experience. The quality of our guides, wines and the wineries visited stand out from other tours. The tour begins with a visit to a port wine producer: Quinta da Roêda. There will be a personalized guided tour on the vineyards where the process of making the port wine will be explained. The wine tasting will be accompanied by a careful selection of Portuguese cheeses. After tasting, we will embark 1 hour boat ride where the calm of the river will inspire us. This soothing ride is the best time to contemplate the landscape and nature of the Douro Valley. Lunch is served in a beautiful farm overlooking to the vineyards where there are several food options: fish, meat or vegetarian. Everything are included in the price. The second winery is a small table wine producer, It will be an interesting opportunity to have more contact with the locals. The visit ends with an olive oil tasting.

SERGIO is great and made this tour amazing

I booked the small tour as I wanted a personal experience. Luckily it is the slow season so the 2 of us were all alone with our driver tour guide Sergio! Sergio is amazing, raise his rate of pay, he's that good. The small tour is the way to go, we encountered one of the smaller busses, about 20ppl and they just didn't appear to be having the same experience as we did. First, we got off the beaten path wineries where a small bus can't fit. It was a very intimate experience and I highly recommend it to anyone not caring about cost and want the experience. Not sure you can request a tour guide, but if you can, Sergio is the guy to ask for. I wouldn't trade this memory for anything else, it was an absolutely wonderful time! Sergio also had great TIPS on the area!

I don’t typically leave reviews, but this was one of the best experiences I've had on my travels through Europe. I’ve visited Bordeaux and Tuscany, two of the more famous wine regions, but the Douro Valley is truly one of a kind. Our guide, Marcelo, was fantastic, and throughout the entire journey, we felt incredibly welcomed by all the locals who showed us around. The authenticity of the Portuguese culture and the beauty of the valley are what truly make this experience so special and unforgettable. I highly recommend this tour, especially for wine and port lovers. The lunch was outstanding—a three-course meal paired with two wines and port with dessert. Over the course of the day, we tasted 10 different wines and ports. The value is exceptional, and the experience is genuine. Thank you, Marcelo!

A great day out in the Douro Valley

We had the tour today and it was a great day with Pedro. The first family-owned winery (Quinta Santa Eufemia) with the Port Wine, and the Douro River cruise in a Rabelo boat with the views were our highlights. Considering it was a full day tour, it was quite a leisurely pace. Selecting a small group tour was the best decision, as we got door-to-door service and it was a more tailored setting. Pedro even gave us some great tips to make the most of our time in Porto.

My boyfriend and I did the wine tour to Duoto and it was the highlight of our trip to Portugal!! Marcelo was AMAZING - so friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling through Porto!!!!
