I could not imagine a 4-hour bus tour of Tokyo but was happy to find that it included just a few highlights that gave opportunity to learn about some Japanese history, lots of Japanese culture and some of the intricacies of Japanese religion. Our guide was Atsushi, who was wonderful. Very engaging with abundant humour and insight, very organized, able to dramatize some information that made it entertaining as well as instructive. The bus was comfortable though the seats are not made for bodies of a more robust physique (!). I’ve never had to buckle up on a bus before, but it is a law here so, by the end of the tour, I was used to it. I highly recommend the tour and see if you can arrange that Atsushi be your guide; he is definitely worth it!
