Overview

Walk through the tulip fields, take amazing photo's, and even pick your own tulip! Join us on a tour showing you the most colourful tulip fields, a historic windmill, and enjoy a lunch all in one day! Our guides are professionals from the tulip farming industry, bringing you to the most serene and colourful tulip fields in Holland. You will travel in comfort with a maximum of 30 people in a spacious coach for a relaxed and personalised tour. You will have exclusive Tulip access, walking in between the tulips (an experience unique to our tours) and capture perfect photo moments. And can even take home a tulip of your choice as a beautiful souvenir of your day. In between you will enjoy a lunch in the old Dutch village of Onderdijk and admire the view of the historic Geradus Majella church, an architectural gem. A visit to a traditional Dutch windmill from 1633 and meet the miller is also included.

    Our starting point : Het Tolhuis. Het Tolhuis, located at Buiksloterweg 7 in Amsterdam-Noord, has a rich history dating back to the 17th century. In 1662, a tollhouse was established here, where skippers paid tolls to navigate the Buikslotervaart. The building also served as a residence for the toll collector and his family and soon became an inn for travelers who could not access Amsterdam after the city gates closed.

  • Middenbeemster (Pass By)

    The UNESCO reclaimed land above Amsterdam is called the Beemster Polder, this is where we drive through to our first tulip field It is part of the Defense Line of Amsterdam (Stelling van Amsterdam), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Beemster Polder, reclaimed from a lake in the early 17th century, showcases a perfect example of Dutch ingenuity in water management.

An excellent family-run tour

The loveliest family-run tour! We immediately felt at home when the guide met us outside and brought us to the meeting point (we were probably looking a little lost), where there were tea and biscuits waiting. The bus was comfortable and even though it was the last day of tulip season, we still managed to get some lovely views of the fields and there was plenty of time to stop and take photos. Lunch was excellent - the mustard soup was outstanding and I will be adding this to my recipe book. The only point of improvement could be potentially more information about the history of tulips in the Netherlands, but the information we received was very much sufficient. Really well paced and we never felt rushed. I really enjoyed this tour and would absolutely recommend it!

Perfect guides, perfect trip

Roel & Michael were the perfect guides for a perfect trip! Knowledgeable, funny and laid-back they shepherded us with ease through multiple tulip fields and the nerdly delights of a working 1650 windmill. And the tulips! We were lucky -- it was the very end of the growing season, but they knew exactly where to take us to see the very last (literally!) fields in the country. And the fields look even more stunning than you imagine - rows of multicolored blooms stretching off in the distance. Gorgeous! And the drive through the greens of Holland through immaculate and handsome towns & villages - what a great way to see it! Highly recommended.

It was near the end of the season but what we saw was fabulous, the guys were very knowledgeable. Lunch was lovely, especially the mustard soup! Make sure you get the video which tells you where you get picked up, there are two places near each other and we went to the wrong one, but the guys waited for us and guided us in.

Beautiful and enjoyable without the crowds

We selected this tour based on the small group size, more personal approach and were in no way disappointed. We visited 3 tulip fields and were given ample time for wandering/pictures as well as information on the entire growing process. Lunch was at a local restaurant (and delicious) and the trip over much of the countryside was beautiful and informative. The private tour of the old windmill was amazing. Highly recommend this tour.

Great experience! The windmill and fields were incredible, lunch was a great sample of some local food, and our guide was knowledgeable and made sure we had a wonderful time!
