Overview

Enjoy a late start and absolutely fall in love with Arashiyama on this amazing afternoon tour! Take a trip back in time where the very roads you ride were sub-temples of our World Heritage Tenryuji Zen Temple followed by a short hike up to the impressive panoramic view of Kyoto from Iwatayama Mountain and the accompanying Iwatayama Monkey Park. You will even experience some bamboo forest viewing and visits to some local shrines and temples not frequented by the crowds of tourists. *AGE REQUIREMENT: Children must be at least 10 years old to participate. What a great bike tour!! We had the most relaxing, fun and informative tour visiting the bamboo Forrest and monkey Forrest. Peter our guide was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The ride route was picturesque and it was lovely to see the small villages and rice fields. This tour was one of our (family of 3, child 10Y) all time favourites for our whole Japan trip!!! Would highly recommend!!!

We had so much fun with Yuki. He was a fantastic tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. He was kind and patient with everyone on the tour. He was so enthusiastic it was contagious :) I would highly recommend this tour!

We highly recommend this tour especially if you are so fortunate to win Yuki as your tour guide. Yuki’s knowledge of Japanese history and shinto with his humor make him an ideal tour guide for Kyoto. It’s four hours of Kyoto that you won’t soon forget

Terrific biking and site seeing excursion in Kyoto!

This was a great excursion! We all enjoyed the bike tour through the area, which was beautiful! Rob kept all of us, including our 2 grand daughters entertained with fun stories and interesting information about Japan. Admittedly the hike up the hill to see the monkeys was a grind - but we stopped a few times along the way to catch our breath and we had fun experience at the top, seeing the monkeys, when we got there! It was a terrific excursion and we’d highly recommend!
