Overview

This 120 min Walking Tour is very comprehensive and includes at least 1 entrance. The 11 AM tour starts at the Greeting to the Sun and the 18:30 PM tour starts from the Land Gate so that we finish in front of the Sunset at the Organs. The tour is intended for people who have a bigger interest in cultural and historical heritage, architecture and history events. If you want to hear a more detailed story about this old town, enriched with more historical and material facts then you should join this tour. Your tour will be led by a local Croatian licensed guide. We walk 120 min rain or shine no matter what. Dress accordingly. Bring an umbrella or a raincoat if needed.

  • Greeting to the Sun

    11 AM tour START in English. Look for a guide with white ZADAR CITY TOUR umbrella and blue license standing on the installation representing our solar system as a solar panel on the floor.

  • Sea Organ (Morske Orgulje)

    One of the most famous installations from 2005 representing a staircase in a form of a piano keyboard situated on a Promenade of Zadar singing with a help of the sea.

    The biggest Romanesque Church in Dalmatia, keeps the body of a city patron Anastasia. No entrance.

  • The Forum

    1st Century BC Roman Forum in the middle of the Peninsula of Zadar surrounded with numerous remains of ancient Roman Architecture.

  • Church of St. Donatus

    9th Century AC Church of St.Donatus built in a Pre-romanesque style as a huge Rotunda placed in the middle of the Roman Forum. No entrance.

Learned SO MUCH!

Dorja was very informative and told us so much about Croatia and its history. We could’ve never learned this on our own. She’s a native of Zadar and her family and grandparents live here. We even learned from her some good restaurants and about the local seafood served here. She recommend getting the John Dory fish, and I have never heard of it, but we ordered it at her recommendation and it was the most delicious fish ever! It tastes like Seabass you order in the United States. Highly recommend her tour!

Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. She answered any questions we had as well as giving us recommendations for places to eat, shop etc. I would recommend this company if you want a more personal experience.

It was a travel in time (and space!)! Dorja knows every piece of her town, with very well explained parts of the history of all the monuments, buildings and streets. Very pleasant company and conversations. I would do an entire day tour if possible :)

Brilliant tour - the guide was really knowledgeable, funny and happy to answer any questions you have. The tour took us to some great locations and some hidden gems that you’ll want to go back too. Loads of great food recommendations too if you are a foodie

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and thorough! We got to see much of Zadar Old Town and learn about the history of the city. We really enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend.
