Overview

The beauty of a private driving tour is the flexibility it gives you to see the sights which interest you the most.  We have a recommended route but the itinerary is totally flexible so if you would prefer to spend longer in a place you like or add an attraction which interests you then we can accommodate you. Our private tours last seven hours and can start and finish at the location of your choice.  The starting time for the tour is flexible and we can collect you from anywhere in the Northern Cotswolds area including Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon.  The tour is ideal for a day trip from London and the most cost/time effective option is to take a direct train from London Paddington to Oxford station. If you have any questions about transfers from outside of the Northern Cotswolds then please send us an message.

    A fairy-tale village of thatched cottages and beautiful landscapes that is away from the tourists. The home of several famous characters and the future home of royalty.

  • Stow-on-the-Wold Market Square

    The centre of the wool trade in the Cotswolds. Here you'll have time to browse among honey-coloured buildings, cosy pubs, narrow streets, interesting shops and tiny tea rooms.

    Our next stop is the picturesque village of Lower Slaughter, one of the most romantic villages in the Northern Cotswolds and set in the most amazing countryside. Larger vehicles are not allowed into this village.

  • Bourton on the Water

    Our next stop is arguably the most famous Cotswolds town and regularly voted one of the prettiest villages in England; Bourton-on-the-Water. Known as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds' there is plenty to see and do with a wealth of attractions, shops, restaurants and tea rooms. Here you have free time to explore and enjoy some lunch.

  • Burford Library

    On route we go through some enchanting Cotswold villages to the town of Burford, often called the 'Gateway to the Cotswolds'. A very iconic town and home to one of the most beautiful and ancient churches in the region. Stories aplenty!

  • St Mary's Church

    Travelling along the stunning Windrush Valley visiting hidden villages including Swinbrook. One of the most secluded villages and home of the notorious Mitford Sisters.

  • Minster Lovell Hall & Dovecote

    A real highlight of the tour which boasts plenty of Cotswold stone and thatched roofs, as well as holding the title of being the region's most haunted village. Minster Lovell is perhaps best known for the ruins of its 15th century hall, owned by generations of the Lovell family. A true hidden gem!

Amazing family tour

We had an amazing day in the Cotswalds with Andrew! We had a group of 6 - four adults and 2 kids. Andrew had a super comfortable van for us, and he and Ian created a perfect itinerary for our family and kids. Andrew was incredibly knowledgeable about the region’s history. We learned a ton but also had some free time to explore on our own. I’d definitely recommend!

Great tour of the Cotswolds

We had a great experience going to the Cotswold with Andrew. Pick up and drop off right on time. Nice comfortable car. Very knowledgeable tour and good selection of places to stop. We were thankful that we did not attempt to drive this on our own, The driving is very difficult and required an expert driver. Andy navigated some seriously challenging narrow and windy streets!

Amazing day in the Cotswolds with our family

My girlfiend and our parents (6 people) went for a private tour of the Cotswolds from Oxford with Andy who made our day memorable! He had a great knowledge of the area and its history, and even spoke French (which made it easier with our parents)! The Cotswolds themselves and their villages are charming and beautiful. We highly recommend this tour to discover the heart of the region.

Andy from Undiscovered Cotswolds was an awesome tour guide. We spent entire day with him and he was a world of information. We visited Lower Slaughter, Bourton on the Water, Burford and Minster Lovell. Andy recommended High Tea at Lords of the Manor (pictured) and we were not disappointed. This was our 1st time to the Cotswolds and Andy was patient with us while we explored, rested and took in all the places we visited. Definitely 5 stars and 5 thumbs up.
