Overview

We will drive with you form Salzburg to the area of Schwangau to see the palace of Linderhof, the village of Oberammergau and the palace of Neuschwanstein, that was used by Walt Disney as a basis of the famous "Disney castle". See, feel and touch the live of King LudwigII of Bavaria and enjoy to learn about his life and his ideas.

  • Schloss Linderhof

    We will see the palace of Linderhof, King Ludwig's favorite palace that has been finished.

  • Oberammergau

    We will see the village of Oberammergau and spend there some time for a lunch and to see the village where the passion play takes place every 10th year.

  • Schloss Neuschwanstein

    We will drove from Salzburg over the Bavarian countryside to the area of Ettal to see the palace of Linderhof and then the village of Oberammergau to the area of Füssen to see the palace of Neuschwanstein, the Castle by King LudwigII, that was used by Walt Disney as the basis for the famous "Disney Castle".

  • Pilgrimage Church of Wies

    On the way to Neuschwanstein we will try to stop also at the church of Wies, a nice pilgrimage church with an outstanding baroque outlook.

We could not have found a more informative warm and friendly yet professional person than Amir to spend our day trip to Neuschwanstein castle and Linderhof. So well informed and amazing knowledge 0f Bavarian history it was just a pleasure spending the day with. It was one of our best days during our trip. Our Guide Bernie was an excellent host, had an interesting story about king Ludwigll which really added value before the audio tour in the castle itself. Well organized and looking forward to coming back.

Excellent experience for our family. Bernie was our guide and such a pleasure to be with. Our family met him for a transfer tour from Salzburg to Munich. He gave us a perfect introduction on what to expect. He coordinated everything and made everything just a pleasure for us. A very in depth knowledge of the history of the area and the castles before the tickets led us to a self guided tour within the palace. Highly recommend.

Our Guide Bernie made this experience more than great! He really took care of every detail. It was my wife’s birthday and he made sure that we get the best experience. From enjoying nature to the fullest, full of knowledge of history and even during lunch to make sure my wife is getting her birthday celebrated! The whole restaurant was singing! We could not have asked for more!

Great day trip from Salzburg with a knowledgeable guide

Excellent day visiting two castles, with historical facts and great commentary by our tour guide Bernie as we drove from Salzburg to Fuessen and Oberammergau. Bernie provided lots of knowledge packed in great stories about the area and the history behind the castles, and made our visits to both castles as pleasant and easy as possible, considering how crowded and popular they are. He showed us the most popular photo sports and answered all of our questions. Also a great storyteller with lots of inside facts about King LudwigII. We really enjoyed this tour!
