  • Porto (Pass By)

    Gold Pier; We begin and end our trip at the picturesque and traditional fisherman's pier, a typical Porto location. Travel time already included in the total duration.

  • Ponte da Arrabida (Pass By)

    This is the 1st Bridge over the Douro River. Entirely built in concrete, it was once considered the bridge with the largest arch in the world.

  • Reserva Natural Estuario do Douro (Pass By)

    With 66.35 ha, the Douro Estuary Local Nature Reserve is located on the south bank of the mouth of this river, close to the fishing village of Afurada, encompassing Cabedelo and São Paio bay, where there is a salt marsh. Among the natural values it protects, the highlight goes to the birds that live here or pass through here and that can be easily observed, as it is located on the migratory corridor known as the "East Atlantic Route”.

  • Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar (Pass By)

    What To Expect Additional Info Cancellation F The Serra do Pilar Monastery is an austere 17th century church. It has been classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site since 1996. The Church, classified as a National Monument, stands out for its circular plan, covered by an imposing hemispherical vault, surrounded by a balcony and crowned by a lantern. Inside, the gilded and white carved work stands out. It preserves a beautiful cloister, also classified as a National Monument, with a circular vault with a central rib supported by 36 Ionic columns. This Mannerist monastery is a unique example in Portugal, as the church and cloister are circular in plan, a model originating from civil architecture. Its geographical location was crucial in 1809, during the invasions by Napoleonic troops and in 1832-33 as a military base during the liberal struggles. Elevated to the category of fortress, it has since been converted into military barracks

  • Luis I Bridge (Pass By)

    The Ponte D. Luís I (or Ponte Luiz I, in the original graffiti inscribed therein), is a bridge in metal structure with two boards, built between 1881 and 1886, connecting the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia (northern and southern bank, respectively) separated by the river Douro, in Portugal.

  • Ponte Infante Dom Henrique (Pass By)

    Baptised in honor of Infante D. Henrique, born in Porto, is the latest bridge that connects Porto and Gaia. It was built to replace the top board of the Louis I Bridge,

  • Ponte D. Maria Pia (Pass By)

    It was inaugurated on 4 November 1877 and closed on 24 June 1991 and was replaced by the St. John Bridge.It is considered, along with the Viaduct of Garabit, as the greatest masterpieces executed by engineer Gustave Eiffel. At the time of its inauguration, it was the bridge with the largest iron bow in the world. It has been classified as a National Monument since 1982.

  • Ponte de Sao Joao (Pass By)

    Unlike the other bridges built to date over the Douro River in Porto, the Ponte de São João is not in a bow, but in a continuous multiple portico, of vertical pillars, with three voids, composed of a central with 250 m, and two sides of 125 m, and supported by two pillars in the river bed

Nov 2, 2024 - This tour is great 11 out of 10 stars! And even more awesome are Nadia and Paulo, our guide and captain. We booked an earlier day tour of the 6 bridges with a port taste and snacks. As it turns out, Nadia asked to move us to the 3:30pm slot due to mechanical issues with the boat. We assumed we’d be with a group as originally booked but Nadia gave us a private tour. The big pillows in the front allowed us to have front row seats to every bridge we passed. And when it got chilly, Nadia brought out warm blankets and put them around our shoulders- what a great tough! My son was over joyed… with the tour, the port wine tasting, the snacks… and it doesn’t stop there… Nadia spent time explaining the importance of the Douro River, history of Porto and Portuguese culture. She then brought us a beautiful charcuterie tray loaded with wonderful goodies, including homemade jam and a fruit kind of bar that her mother made from a local fruit. Delicious! And, she poured a couple glasses of wine for me and my son… who ended up liking the port wine and now white wine! Nadia also extended our 2hr afternoon cruise to a 2 1/2 hr sunset cruise. Paulo took us out to the ocean to watch the sun set… how beautiful! And very good driver he was! I feel SO very fortunate to have had this tour with Nadia and Paulo. She is a beautiful soul who wants everyone on her boat to have a good time. I can’t recommend it enough!

Exceptional memorable boat trip for our 50th birthdays

As three lifelong friends we went for 4 nights to Porto to celebrate our 50th birthdays.. for our last night we booked this sunset cruise as a private party of 3. Well it was the absolute highlight of our trip. Something so special. The three of us sat up at the front of the boat and were so comfortable and spoilt rotten by our hosts Nadia and Paulo. So friendly welcoming and warm and they couldn't do enough for us and as it was a beautiful evening they took us right out to sea to watch the stunning sunset. We were given champagne by way of celebrating our 50ths and a lovely board of meats and cheese and Nadia's mother's delicious jam chutney. This business is one family run boat but the attention to detail and personally touches were well beyond any expectations we had. The trip lasted 2 hours through the bridges with amazing views of the cities. We felt like royalty tipping out champagne glasses at the passing larger boat tours. So recommended. The three of us will hold this memory dear forever

Feel like a millionaire

We had a fantastic personal boat trip with our hosts Nadia and Bruno. Highly recommend it. We felt like millionaires, we sat on the front of the boat, with a glass of wine and nibbles, as we cruised along the Duoro under the six bridges and beyond.

Highlight of our Porto trip!

This was the highlight of our trip to Porto! Nadia & Paulo where extremely friendly. We (group of three friends) felt like princesses on their lovely boat. We were so happy that we continued searching after finding all the possibilities on big boats with giant groups that rush you on this river. We felt like we could enjoy all the lovely bits of Porto because of these wonderful local hosts.
