Overview

With its enormous, ancient icebergs, the Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon is a natural wonder of Iceland and a sight you absolutely cannot miss. The lagoon produces a feeling of incredible tranquility as the 1000-1500 year-old ice that has broken away from Vatnajokull Glacier silently drifts into the lake and slowly melts away. As you take a walk along the shore, you may recognize the lagoon from scenes out of famous movies such as Batman Begins, Tomb Raider, and two James Bond movies that were filmed here. This 14-hour, guided tour is shared traveling by bus, including a 30-minute boat ride.

Gunnar was a great guide and the driver was excellent. Iceland was so beautiful..I saw trumpeter swans.....a bit more time at the stops please...it made me want to do more tours...well run and exacuted...thankyou

Made this trip with my 73 year old mother and it was a trip to remember. Unbelievable experience, magnificent sights. Our tour guide Flosi was so patient and knowledgeable, gave us so much rich history he truly made this trip an adventure. 10 out of 10. Recommend to everyone, a must see!

We toured the lagoon and diamond beach with Reynkjavik excursions and had a great time. Our guide/driver Flosi was very knowledgeable about the glacial features and lava fields and did a great job with the narration.

The guide Flosi Kristjansson was excellent! He has explained a lot of interesting info on the rout and also provided extra stop kiva for us. We also had extra stop at Glacial Lagoon and also in Diamond Beach. I enjoined the tour.

Hard to describe how magnificent the sights were. Dylan was deeply researched on all topics. His English was excellent since he immigrated to Iceland at 13 as an English man! Well done, throughly enjoyed our day.
