Overview

Join us for an elegant cruise on the historic motor yacht "Faith" on Lake Te Anau. This relaxed 3-hour experience includes a guided walk in the Fiordland National Park, a delightful morning tea and refreshments, and cruising home under sail. You have 3 uniformed crew hosting you while on board, and 2 nature guides to show you the delights of New Zealand scenery. This option is restricted to 16 passengers to ensure a comfortable, personable experience.

Itinerary

  • Fiordland National Park

    You’ll arrive at the historic wharf on the edge of Lake Te Anau where you`ll be met by your crew who will give you a safety briefing, and an order of events for your cruise. The crew will cast off and give you time to explore the ship. You’ll be offered tea and coffee once under way, and either have a chance to chat with crew, or enjoy time to yourself. You’ll have some amazing photo opportunities at all times, especially as you enter the South Fiord of Lake Te Anau. You’ll dock on the Hidden Lakes wharf and have your nature guide take you for a 15-minute walk into the first of the Hidden Lakes. This is another wonderful place for photos. It’s an easy walk with no hills on the track. It`s a leafy trail, so you’ll want to have comfortable footwear.

  • Fiordland National Park

    Upon return to the Faith you’ll have your afternoon tea and refreshments served, and time to relax and listen to the sounds of nature with the engine turned off. As you cruise out of the South Fiord your crew will raise the sails if the wind allows, and cruise back to Te Anau with the special feeling of big sails billowing above you. Upon return you’ll be accompanied back down the wharf to shore by your crew. At all times our intent is to be relaxed and allow you the flexibility of choosing to focus on the chapters of the experience which give you the most pleasure

Wonderful lake cruise

Beautiful and intimate cruise on Lake Te Anau. A great way to experience the lake away from the crowds of fellow tourists. Adam is a fantastic captain and host; welcoming and knowledgeable. His first mate, John, the same. It was amazing to see Lake Te Anau from this perspective. The nature hike was short, but beautiful. Highly recommend!

Wonderful tour to experience Te Anau! Adam, Megan, and Sophie were wonderful hosts/crew for the scenic cruise+ guided walk. This was a personalized tour with individual attention/service, and it is obvious that Adam and Megan have dedicated tremendous time and effort into making this a top experience in Fjordland! We lucked out with a picture-perfect day, enjoyed the drinks and snacks, and appreciated the stories and surprises along the way, as well. Highly recommend that you make time to experience Faith during your visit to Te Anau!

Perfect afternoon trip

We had a perfect afternoon with skipper Adam, assisted by Megan. They welcomed us warmly and were perfect hosts. The cruise along Lake Te Anau was stunning and we had ☀️ and blue skies. We enjoyed drinks on route to our woodland walk led by Megan. A very interesting walk in ancient forest. Then back to the boat for delicious canapés and drinks. Adam spent time sharing the history of the boat which was built in Scotland. Near the end of the trip he surprised us all playing Scottish tunes on his bagpipes! Highly recommend and many thanks for a great experience.

Our cruise with Adam and Meghan could not have been more perfect. They have created such a fun and special experience. Highly recommend this. You will not be disappointed. And everyone in town adores them and recommends them too. We didn’t discover them on Trip Advisor but through the property manager where we stayed. And then had others in town also recommending them!
