    Pub The Ape, also known as Int Aepjen in Dutch. Built around 1540 and one out of two remaining wooden buildings left in Amsterdam. Which is very special as there was a big fire in 1452 and after that point the government decided that buildings should have brick facades.

My trip was already amazing but this tour must have been the highlight of my short stay in Amsterdam. Not only did I learn and see so many interesting things about the city but I got to taste some real Dutch foods and they were delicious:). Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city!

We met Catherine at the meeting place as planned. She was articulate, knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend two hours with. The tour was informative and the food was all fun. The food tour was casual food and all fun. We started with mulled spice wine. Gluhwein. Then we had a potatoe and meat krokett from an automat. Fried. Yum. Followed by Puffercheese, And a waffle. The final food was French fries with mayonnaise. Everything was delicious! Learning about the red light district and the history of Amsterdam was interesting and informative. This was a great way to start our stay. Highly recommend!!!

Kevin was a wonderful guide. Kind, informative and personable. We requested an easy pace due to a mobility issue and he was great. We sampled Surinamese cooking and a taste at FEBO. I would highly recommend.

The guide was excellent, taking us through the district's rich history and gave us a great look at its culture. We learned a lot from the stories our guide told us and it was a very interesting tour with some great food stops along the way!
