Furthermore, on the way to the lakes, discover the village Rastoke and its watermills from 17th century.     This fairy tale small watermill village will give you the first insight into historic Croatia, but also a sneak peak for what’s to come in Plitvice. We will spend enough time here for you to look around the village and take some photos before heading back to the van towards the national park.

    Plitvice Lakes National Park is most visited parks in Croatia and is voted the most beautiful national park in Europe. A UNESCO world heritage site since 1979, the park is made up of 16 lakes connected by streams and waterfalls. Take a walk along the paths and boardwalks, and surround yourself with breathtaking nature at every angle. Spend a day in the park with our guide who knows all the insights to help make this trip an amazing opportunity.

  • If you can, bring sportswear and comfortable closed/hiking shoes... lots of walking!
  • Your guide will be available to assist you throughout the entire trip and guide you through the park.
  • Approx. 8.5km (5.3mil) walk is the length of the walking tour in the park (highseason). You will see all the highlights, and don’t worry there are no big inclines so it’s an enjoyable walk.
  • Some of the park may be restricted and is weather dependent.
  • This tour will still operate in all weather conditions.
  • Please note that from November 1st through March 31st, only Lower Lakes can be visited, and depending on weather conditions, the train and electric boats do not operate.

Great small group experience at Plitvice lakes

We had a fantastic day at the lakes today! Sasha was a total champ in that he knew his Croatian history, did a fantastic job, guiding our group through the lakes, and kept us entertained throughout the day nonstop. We would highly recommend this tour to others, especially because for this particular destination, being in a small group (there were seven of us) made it much easier to get through the park.

It was amazing, the park is beautiful and well kept. Saw some lizards, and different flowers i have never seen before. The guide Marco is very knowledgeable and entertaining. Despite a horrible weather since it was raining all day. It was the highlight of my trip in Croatia.

A Natural Wonder

The trip from Zagreb to Plitvice Lake with a stop at Rastoke that we took was very well organized. Our guide was there right on time at the pickup location. The stop at Rastoke was a good break while on the road to have a coffee. Not much other than that. But Plitvice lake was amazing. The walk at the lakes at different elevations and cascading falls from one to the next were a wonderful experience. The beauty of the nature itself is amazing. I must commend the authorities efforts to keep this park as pristine as possible. If you're visiting please do your part. We went just as the summer season was getting started. But still the park was pretty crowded. Half way through we had lunch break for 40 minutes. Out of that, 30 minutes were spent on waiting in line. That is my only gripe. Overall, it was a great experience.

A wonderful day trip from Zagreb

Our guide, Luka was excellent. He paced the tour to meet the needs of his guests, was very knowledgeable about the national park’s history and it’s geology. Rastoke was a nice addition to this day trip and again, guests were provided information about the town and given ample time to explore. Highly recommend this tour for anyone staying in Zagreb

Beautiful day trip to stunning lakes and rivers

Beautiful day trip to UNESCO World Heritage National Park. I went just before the peak tourist season, so the crowds were relatively slim. The weather was perfect and we were lucky to avoid long queues for the boat ride. Our guide (and driver) Luka was fantastic. The ride was smooth and he answered many questions about Croatia and the region.
