Enjoy a quiet sunset while swigging Costa Rican "moonshine" on Lake Arenal! This is a great way to spend a late afternoon during your visit to La Fortuna. Your nature guide will take you on a boat ride on Lake Arenal and point out wildlife as the sun starts to set. This is your chance to try some local "fire water" and homemade snacks as you admire the breathtaking and photogenic Arenal Volcano.

Excellent Cruise

Moonshine cruise was excellent! Otto our activities Director and Brian the boat captain were extremely friendly and informative. appetizers and drinks were overflowing. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting La Fortuna.

A Little Rain, A Lot of Rum :-)

Very relaxing, well-paced, and totally fun lake cruise. Our trip was overcast and a bit rainy, but our guide Marco more than made up for the weather. It was still beautiful and since it was only our family on the boat for this trip, we had a great time getting to know the guys and learn about the area. Thank you so much. Very very memorable.

What an amazing and unexpectedly wonderful way to spend our last evening in Arenal. Otto was an excellent tour guide and blew us away with his singing talent. Brian not only drove the boat but gave us an impromptu merengue dance lesson. Very cool experience.

This was a very fun tour. Otto was our guide and he was great. Very knowledgeable and a good singer. They made a fruit ceviche that was delicious.

Best thing to do in Arenal region.

This was my favourite thing that we did in La Fortuna. First, the pick-up at our hotel was on time (about 5 minutes early) and we were taken to Lake Arenal. The guides Josué and Delvin were excellent. They were courteous polite and professional. We ended up being the only two people on the sunset cruise - they didn’t cancel, instead they gave us the best experience ever. What i loved about these guys was their knowledgeable and passionate love of the region and the nature around the lake. Delvin took out his bird book to help identify some of the birds we came across and Josué, who grew up there, told us of the history of this man-made lake. We got beautiful pictures, had great snacks and drank some great "moonshine" cocktails. This was our most memorable tour.
