Led by Andy, Scott, Tim or Anna, your experienced & fully bilingual guides, you will be offered an authentic foodie experience in the hidden gem of Shinsekai. With your guide who has lived in the area for years, the evening will be personable and veritable. Known as the “Kitchen of Japan”, Osaka is a city that is tailor-made for a memorable evening out for foodies. Mixed with history, culture and plenty of laughs, allow your guide to answer any questions you may have about this beautiful land. Weave through the arcades, side alleys and other places few others than the locals know, stopping at five unique eateries that have been visited countless times by our guides themselves. This tour will offer a variety of delicious street foods which will include takoyaki, karaage, kushikatsu, udon and oden among others. Not gourmet food, but authentic tasty dishes that will fill you up! You will also have the chance to sample some local drinks too, making your night an unforgettable experience!

It was an amazing experience but not only about the foods we tried but a very-well informed guide to talk about everything on Japan and its culture. You may not like everything you tasted but it worths to try.

Fantastic food tour! Our guide was a local and he was very knowledgeable, making sure we all had food and drink, any special diets were catered for, felt very safe regarding allergies etc, good value too. He was a super host and encouraged the group to gel, at the end of the tour he made sure we all got taxis or the subway. The food was great too, not rushed and was authentic, really enjoyed our tour, wish I could remember the name of the guide but I do know he supports Liverpool FC! Thank you so much

What an experience to remember... Andy was hilarious, full of insights about world history and Japanese culture, and effortlessly kept the whole group talking, laughing, eating and drinking the whole night long. The food was delicious and members of the group with dietary requirements were well catered for. So glad we booked, an absolute highlight of our trip so far.

When booking this tour we were unsure of what to expect both food and tour wise. But our guide Anna managed to turn a group of strangers into friends and created a night of outstanding food and experiences! We enjoyed learning the history behind each dish we sampled and the history of the neighbourhoods we walked through.It was a wonderful way to end our 3 week journey in Japan! ( Anna’s Mom - you did a great job!)
