Galle forts and spices: a rich flavour of history and culture

Galle Fort is well preserved, well maintained and epitomises the appeal of this tour. Views, visions and vignettes of Portuguese, Dutch and British warriors over 5 centuries add to the rich history and culture. The tsunami museum is humbling and graphic. The visit to the spice garden mixed flavours with medicinal use. A full and fascinating day worthy of the 3 hour drive.
