    As an iconic part of British culture, the beautiful Windsor Castle is one of the must-visit attractions in the UK. Steeped in history and overlooking the delightful town of Windsor, the Castle is well-documented as the Queen’s favourite royal residency. Explore the historic Castle in all its glory including the exuberant State Apartments where you’ll see artwork from some of the world’s most legendary artists, Rembrandt and Leonardo da Vinci, and discover St. George’s Chapel, the resting place of the notorious Tudor King Henry VIII and his third wife Jane Seymour. You will also get to see the exquisite Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House that defies belief – a miniature structure complete with functioning lifts, running water and electricity!

  • St. George's Chapel (Pass By)

    St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle is one of the most beautiful ecclesiastical buildings in England, dating back from 1475. The Chapel has hosted several Royal weddings for centuries, with the most recent being the ones of Prince Harry & Meghan Markle from May 2018, and Princess Eugenie & Jack Brooksbank from October 2018. The Chapel is also the resting place of the notorious Tudor King Henry VIII and his third wife Jane Seymour. St. George’s Chapel is usually closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services.

    This world-famous, prehistoric monument is as much mysterious as it is inspiring with its meaning still questioned to this very day. Speculations suggest it could have been a way to worship the sun, a burial ground or even a healing centre for those ill of health but this is your chance to piece together the facts and come to your own conclusion on the mystery of Stonehenge for an extended visit!   • Our vehicles are modern, comfortable, and kept to the highest standards of cleanliness, including a deep clean every day.
  • During peak periods, additional vehicles without Wi-Fi may be used. Windsor Castle is a working royal palace and planned closures/disruptions may be subject to change.
  • When the State Apartments are closed the Precincts, Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and the Drawings Gallery will remain open.
  • St. George’s Chapel is usually closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services. Windsor Castle closures: 25 and 26 December – Castle completely closed.
  • Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. A walking tour of the town will take place instead.
  • Due to on-going roadworks between Gloucester Road and Victoria, your tour will end within a 3 minute walk to Gloucester Road Underground Station. This station is in Zone 1 and is three stops Eastbound on the Circle Line or the District Line to Victoria. The Piccadilly Line also runs through Gloucester Road and is 5 stops to Piccadilly Circus.

David (guide) and Amrish (bus driver) were both fantastic! We went on the Stonehenge and Windsor tour. We didn’t feel rushed and felt like we had the perfect tour length. Stonehenge was the first stop and it wasn’t too busy. We were able to get fantastic photos and take in the ambiance. Next was Windsor and we were after the morning rush of people which was great. David gave fun facts the whole trip and get helpful tips. 10/10 recommend.

I chose Golden Tours out of the reviews I saw right here in Trip Advisor. David was our guide and Amrish our driver. David’s guidance and narrative were amazing, he does shows that he really knows his stuff therefore I definitely would highly recommend any tour guided by him. As for Amrish the coach driver he took us along the way in a very safe manner, highly recommended.

Apolonia and Mario made it great!

Last minute reservation for the Extended Windsor and Stonehenge tour that turned out to be a wonderful day. Apolonia was our guide and Mario was our driver were both amazing. This tour encompassed only two sites as opposed to others offering three, but I found this to be perfect giving me the opportunity to take my time and enjoy without feeling rushed. Both locations were truly amazing and I'm writing this on the ride back to London after leaving Windsor Castle. This was an enjoyable day and I would highly recommend this tour.

Trip was amazing with Mrs Sandra and so informative . The driver was so professional and caring , I enjoyed a lot with the group and definitely with our Tourguide Sandra who is highly intellect , fun and super caring about the group and their safety and well being. I 100% recommend this tour to all who want to visit Windsor castle , the Stonehenge and Oxford on a collective and price- wise trip you won’t regret it at all
