Bentota River Boat Safari is organized by Bentota Travel Mart ( BTM ) for the travelers who are in Bentota, Induruwa, Kosgoda , Ahungalla, Balapitiya, Ambalangoda, Aluthgama, Beruwala, Maggona, Kalutara, Waskaduwa and Wadduwa areas and free pick-up & drop-off are included from these areas. If you are looking to gain a unique experience of lagoon safari witnessing mangroves and some rare animals including crocodiles, Bentota River Safari is the best activity in Bentota. Key Points: • River Safari can be started at any selected times between 7.00am & 4.00pm. • Duration: 2 Hours • Spend some time in the nature exploring the third largest river in the Island. • Observe wildlife in their natural habitats such as Water Monitors, River Birds include kingfisher, bee-eater, egrets, eagles, fruit bats, cormorants, Monkeys and maybe even a rare crocodile...etc •Relax onboard and take in the beautiful views of the mangrove This is an All Inclusive Package & No Hidden Costs.

Superb wildlife experience

We loved this! Never seen a mangrove forest up close and it felt like an unanticipated bucket-list experience. Our guide Hari was a lovely guy, very knowledgeable about the ecosystem and with a genuine passion for nature. We saw a chameleon, huge monitor lizard, baby crocodiles, and various birds including kingfishers and a sea eagle, and fed mango to some langur monkeys. Absolute bargain at the price. Highly recommended!

We booked this Safari via Trip Advisor and had great communication telling us when we would be picked up from the hotel and a picture of the Tuk-Tuk that would be transporting us. The boat safari itself was really enjoyable and our driver/guide was very knowledgeable. He was really keen to ensure our expectations were met. All the boat drivers share information with each other and are considerate of each other so we got to see lots of animals. Our Tuk-Tuk driver even waited at a supermarket whilst we picked a few soft drinks up. We would definitely recommend.

This was an unforgettable experience and we’d fully recommend it. Harinda, as mentioned in other reviews, is an outstanding guide, informative, interesting and so helpful - he even took some great photos for me! Going into the mangroves gave us yet another varied experience in Sri Lanka - unmissable!

Had an amazing experience! The boat ride through the mangroves was breathtaking, and the boat rider did a fantastic job explaining the rich wildlife and ecosystem. Highly recommend this tour for nature lovers!
