This tour was the absolute best way to experience Shanghai as a solo traveler! From the very beginning, Sunny handled all the pre-tour communication flawlessly, making everything easy and stress-free. On the day of the tour, Ruby was an incredible guide—warm, knowledgeable, and attentive. She made the city come alive with fascinating stories and historical insights, ensuring a personalized and engaging experience.
The itinerary covered all the must-see spots in just a few hours. The Jade Buddha Temple was a peaceful and stunning stop, with its beautifully carved jade Buddhas that radiated serenity. Walking along the Bund was a highlight, offering breathtaking views of the skyline and a perfect mix of old and new Shanghai. The French Concession had a completely different charm, with tree-lined streets, historic architecture, and a laid-back atmosphere that felt like stepping into another world.
One of the best parts of the tour was the incredible local lunch. Ruby took me to a fantastic spot for authentic Shanghai cuisine, where I enjoyed some of the best dumplings and noodles of my trip. It was a great way to experience the city’s food culture without the stress of figuring out where to eat alone.
The convenience of having the same guide and driver throughout the day was a game-changer. Being able to store luggage safely in the car made exploring much easier, and the seamless airport transfer at the end was the perfect way to wrap up my time in Shanghai without worrying about logistics.
