    The Bombay Hills are a range of hills to the south of Auckland, New Zealand. Though only a small and seemingly insignificant range of hills, they lie at the southern boundary of the Auckland region, and serve as a divide between Auckland and the Waikato region. directly named after the ship Bombay, The ship itself was named after the Indian city of Bombay (now Mumbai). Bombay Means: a breed of black short-haired medium-sized cat.

    We will also pass through the unique town of Tirau (the corrugated iron sculpture capital of the world) known for its antique shops and animal-shaped corrugated iron buildings.

  • Orakei Korako Cave & Thermal Park

    Discover the natural wonders at Orakei Korako, also known as Hidden Valley, which boasts the most active geysers of any geothermal park in New Zealand. Embark on a self-guided tour to explore a volcanic world of gushing geysers, hot springs, bubbling mud pools and some of the largest and most amazing silica terraces in the world. Accessible only by boat, the geothermal field is filled with natural wonders that you can explore at a relaxed pace. Enjoy walking along the boardwalk to see all this magical place has to offer. Wander through the Hidden Valley and visit the thermal Ruatapu Cave which extends more than 36m down into volcanic tuff to the ‘Waiwhakaata’ or ‘Pool of Mirrors’ hot pool at the bottom, one of two thermal caves in the world.

  • Waitomo Glowworm Caves

    Leaving Taupō, venture into a landscape unlike any other. On arrival in the small town of Waitomo, enjoy a 45-minute guided tour through the world-famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves with their amazing stalactites, stalagmites, towering caverns, and other rock formations. Formed from limestones over 30 million years ago, the caves were first discovered in 1887 and are now one of New Zealand’s most popular tourist destinations. Your tour finishes with a short but magical boat ride through the Glowworm Grotto, an underground cavern illuminated by the twinkling lights of thousands of tiny glowworms. After your full day Waitomo and Rotorua tour, board the coach for the return journey to Auckland.

    After an exhilarating fun-filled experience at Rotorua, it is now time to head back to Auckland to conclude your evening and drop-off at your hotel in Auckland. We can also drop you at your accommodation in Rotorua if you are staying locally in the region.

  • After heavy frosts, areas that don't see the sun can stay icy so please take care.
  • After heavy rain, the boardwalks and tracks may become slippery so please take care.
  • Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for the conditions, sun protection, jacket/warm layer, & any essential personal items.
  • This is a guided walking tour and sensible walking footwear is recommended.
  • Bring a camera or a phone with camera capability as this is the perfect place to get some great experiences photos.
  • Please dress with an additional layer of clothing (in winter) & closed toe footwear.
  • Always stay on the boardwalks or marked paths.
  • Do not drop or throw items anywhere in the park; apart from making an unsightly mess, you may get boiling water splashed back at you.
  • During the summer season, it is essential to have water or liquid refreshment.
  • No photography is permitted inside the Waitomo caves, and cameras and Go Pros cannot be taken on the tour.
  • No backpacks or large bags allowed in cave due to delicate formations.
  • Please do not touch the formation in the cave as it discoloured easily, please help us protect our cave.
  • Easy and good fitness level required. and you must be able to climb and descend stairs and walk on unpaved or uneven terrain.
  • The caves are accessible to those with reasonable mobility, as there are good handrails and paths.

Great for all ages

Our tour guide Marcus was very funny with good music as well the going on the lakes in the truck was great and good history lessons recommended for everyone and for all ages
