On this half day walk, let us take you through their innovative political systems, their contribution in the economic, banking, and educational sectors. The Maharajah’s interest in the arts and architecture led to the making of a Royal city that was once the capital of the state of Karnataka. To date, Mysuru is considered a model city for its ideal infrastructure and astute ways of using its resources. You also get to try the local flavors in the form of its cuisine and famed Mysuru nugget coffee. You also get to take a guided walk inside the grand Amba Vilas Palace. Dating from Tipu Sultan’s reign, this huge and very lively bazaar has local traders selling traditional items such as flower garlands, incense, spices and conical piles of vermilion (coloured powder used for bindi dots), all of which makes for some great photo ops. There's a large fruit and vegetable section too.

Sauharda is just an excellent guide. He is so knowledgeable, so personable, and can so quickly tailor his comments to your fields of interest. He is the opposite of a tour guide who gives the same canned presentation to everyone he works with. You can’t go wrong asking for Sauharda.

Memorable walk with well experienced guides. We were able to explore various local markets and taste traditional dishes.. Our guide was having immense experience of travelling and done Kashmir to kanyakumari cycling was both surprising and motivating for us.. Unlike local tour operators, we got personalised attention and proper guidance.. During the walk we were briefed about the history of the city and significance of places and personalities...We were lucky to see the present maharaja at a sweet shop(Guru Sweets) were you can get Genuine Mysore Pak sweet...
