Overview

The tour allows people who have little time available to visit the most suggestive places of the Ionian coast of Sicily by mixing history, landscapes and culture. You will see the splendid panoramas of Etna, you will admire the town of Savoca where the most suggestive scenes of the film The Godfather were filmed and you will go shopping and walk in the historic Taormina full of restaurants, street food and souvenir shops.

  • Mount Etna

    After taking the highway we will begin our walk of about 1 hour and 30 minutes until we reach 2000 m at the famous Rifugio Sapienza, here Free walk on the Silvestri craters, from where you can take breathtaking photos. Short break at a farm for a small free tasting of typical Sicilian products such as honey, olives, wine, limoncello, olive oil with bread.

  • Corso Umberto

    You will have 2 hours of free time to visit the ancient Greco-Roman street Corso Umberto full of attractions such as Piazza IX Aprile full of bars and restaurants, go shopping in the numerous shops or visit the Greek Theatre

  • Cathedral of Messina

    You will visit the main church of the city of Messina, the famous Cathedral of Messina with the largest astronomical clock tower in Europe.

  • Bar Vitelli

    Once you arrive in the beautiful medieval village of Savoca you will find the Bar Vitelli where some scenes from the famous film The Godfather were filmed, you will also see the church of San Nicolo' where the wedding scenes were filmed.

Fantastic experience

Our tour with Filippo, the driver, and Erika, the guide, was absolutely wonderful! Filippo’s driving was smooth and safe, and Erika’s knowledge and passion for the places we visited made the experience even more special. Their attention to detail and care made it a truly memorable day. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish, and we highly recommend this tour to anyone!

Our day exploring Etna, Taormina, and Savoca with Filippo and Erika was beyond expectations! The luxury van was the perfect way to travel in style and comfort. Filippo navigated the winding roads with ease, and Erika’s stories and knowledge brought so much depth to the experience. Each stop offered something unique — the raw beauty of Etna, the elegance of Taormina, and the historic charm of Savoca. It was an impeccably organized tour, and we loved every minute of it!

Sicily Best Tour Lives up to its name!

My husband and I took Tour 5, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time visiting Mount Etna, Taormina, Savoca and Messina with our guide, Erika, and driver, Franco. Erika grew up in Messina, so she was able to share so much more with us about the history of the area, as well as some of her own personal experiences. Her storytelling added a lot to the overall tour, and we really appreciated that. Franco was an excellent driver, and we felt very safe with him and his ability to maneuver - a true gift on those roads! The two of them timed each stop perfectly so that we avoided all the crowds, helping to make this the best day of site seeing we had on our 14-day vacation!

Great Tour - Mt Etna, Taormina and Savoca

A group of us cruised Italy in October and six of us opted for this private tour of Sicily. I was so glad we did. We were met promptly at the cruise port by both a driver and a guide. They were very knowledgeable of the area and even brought us cannoli.
