    Experience Budapest and it's rich and vibrant culinary tradition full of unique food and drinks. Alongside a small group of enthusiasts, this exciting walking tour will provide a taste of what the Hungarian people like to eat and drink such as sausages, salamis, traditional cheeses, soup and traditional pastries. Visit and discover local bars, restaurants, markets, cafes and a cookie manufacturer along the way. The private guide will provide a unique insight, as well as an introduction about the history of Hungarian cuisine, from a local perspective of someone passionate about gastronomy and all other aspects of the tour.

Great food, great guide, and great background details

This was a food tour packed with information and incredible food. Our guide, Nora, was outstanding - enough information to make the history and the tour come alive, and lots more information if you wanted more details. The choice of venues and food was excellent - small places that would be easy to miss, but that had true Hungarian character and food. My wife and I have done many food tours - Nora's was definitely one of the best. We are very happy to recommend her!

We had a wonderful time on this tour and thoroughly recommend it. Nora was wonderfully knowledgeable and took us to some great restaurants and cafes. It was a good blend of both history and culinary delights.

The information provided was well researched and thoughtful. The history of the city and it's origins was educational and Nora tied it to the origin of the Hungarian food. Her selections of places and foods was fantastic. She provided insight into the local nuances of food, drink, and eaters. We highly recommend this tour and will do it again ourselves. Bravo, Nora.

Absolutely wonderful! The stops included an historic pub, the Grand Market, a somewhat upscale bistro, and a sidewalk food cart. But by far the best part was Nora's commentary. She shared her exhaustive knowledge history, culture, and gastronomy, and how these threads have influenced each other over the region's long history. The market was great fun, and she offered recommendations on what treats to buy for friends back home. Our trip to Budapest was a once-in-a-lifetime celebration for us, and Nora made it all the more special.

This was a great tour and Nora was a great guide. She was clear about what we would see, do and eat and made the tour fun, interesting, informative, delicious and satisfying. We saw a lot, learned a lot and ate a lot. We would recommend this tour without any hesitation.
