    This ticket gives you the change to explore the following: Medieval Cathedral that holds immense treasures like famous statues of the most famous sculptors: Michelangelo, Bernini, Donatello and Pulpit by Nicola Pisano masterpiece of medieval sculpture. The Piccolomini Library: an example of Renaissance frescoes of Pinturicchio; The Baptistery of San Giovanni with beautiful baptesimal font of Jacopo della Quercia and wonderful frescoes; the Crypt, the underground quarters, with incredible recent discovery where after seven centuries were brought to light a grandiose pictorial cycle from the XIII century; The Meusum: this allows you to enjoy some of the 'must-see' treasures of Italian art, including the world famous Maestà by Duccio 'the largerst altarpiece ever painted', the very delicate Golden Rose by Bernini and the Madonna with Child by Donatello. The Facciatone where you will witness the unforgettable views over Siena and the Tuscan countryside.

Oh my goodness, what a stunning cathedral!

Being part of an organised tour off a P&O cruise, our guide already had our tickets, so entry was very easy. The first thing you notice is the enormity and attention to detail by the people who designed and built this religious structure. The floor has recently been uncovered, which allows you to see the spectacular marble. The place is definitely worth a visit if you are visiting the beautiful Sienna.

Excellent duomo that is a must visit

We have seen a number of duomos during our travels but this one would have to be one of the best. Architecturally the design is excellent and internally it is fascinating and full of history. We would put it down as a must visit when in Siena. The tour we got for the price of the ticket was excellent

A really impressive cathedral

Firstly, I would like to recommend an online ticket. Then you should see these highlights: The magnificent stone floor, the library of Piccolomini, the crypt, the museum and of course the impressive observation platform.

Must-See in Siena

Let's start with my favorite sight in Siena. The Duomo, which is a must-see. You should plan some time for the visit because there are countless art treasures to marvel at. My tip for you, buy the ticket with the name Opa Si Pass. This ticket gives you access to all areas. You can buy your ticket at the office in front of the Duomo or online in advance. Even from the outside, this building is incredibly beautiful, but what I encountered inside totally impressed me. A special feature of the Siena Cathedral is its floor. It consists of ornate marble slabs - a unique work of art worldwide. It took an incredible six centuries to complete. Through the main entrance of the cathedral, you reach the next sight, the Biblioteca Piccolomini, located in a side wing. It has beautiful drawings on the walls. Diagonally opposite the cathedral museum, you can enter the crypt via a separate entrance on the eastern side of the cathedral. Curiously, this was only discovered in 1999 during a renovation. The Museo dell'Opera della Metropolitana, or simply known as the Cathedral Museum, is located right next to the cathedral in the Duomo. This museum, which was founded in 1869, is an exhibition of collected original works from the cathedral.

Spectacular tour.

Cara was the best. We entered through a private entrance, absolutely no wait. Had our own private areas inside and exclusive roof top viewing 3/4 of the way up. Cara was friendly, patient, and knew the history well. This is a must do tour with Cara.
