This was a wonderful addition to our trip to Italy. San Gimignano really is the postcard of Tuscany - the walls are amazing, the architecture is beautiful, the churches are astounding, and the gelato was to die for! Monteriggioni is a small but lovely fortress-town, with scenic views from the walls. The winery we stopped at was a delight - great food, excellent wine, and Simone did an amazing job teaching us about their process.
Lastly, we stopped at Siena, which was a joy to visit. The Campos was beautiful, the Palazzo Pubblico and it's small museum was fun, and the walking tour with Lucia was stellar. Getting to learn about the racing, the attempt to build the new cathedral, and the art of the existing cathedral was wonderful.
All in all, Sandro was an excellent tour guide to Tuscany, and Sergio did a great job driving us.
