Savor a private wine tasting, exploring the unique varieties of our region. Then, delight in a private olive oil tasting, where you'll learn the fascinating processes behind this liquid gold. Experience this intimate, small-group tour limited to just four to six people, ensuring a personalized and tailored adventure. Enjoy the convenience of hotel pickup and drop-off, making your day seamless and unforgettable.

Itinerary

  • Skalani

    Guided tour at a family-run Olive Oil Mill. Visit olive fields nearby, the Olive Mill facilities and learn about the trip of olives from the area to the bottle. An Olive Oil tasting will be held in order to understand the difference in flavors and quality.

  • Peza

    You will be visiting one of the following 3 wineries. Lyrarakis, Titakis or Stylianou. All three are award-winning and very famous for their wines. The final choice has to do clearly with availability on that day. Arriving at the winery, the winemaker will take us step by step through the winery facilities; learn us the local variety of grapes, and the process to become wine. A Wine Tasting of exquisite wines will take place living the aromas of the Cretan soil.

  • Archanes

    Arriving at the beautiful square of Archanes village. In a unique environment at the center of the village surrounded by tall trees and flowers, located at the foot of mountain Giouhtas. You will enjoy Cretan hospitality at its best by having lunch at one of the most know taverns. An interesting combination of a tavern and little shop in which you can taste your own different olive oils, honey, and locally produced marmalades. Lunch consists of a salad, starter, main course, and dessert. A bottle of water, a glass of wine each, and a small carafe of raki are also included.

Highlight of our holiday!

We had a wonderful time - the olive oil farm was very sweet and hosted by a lovely Greek family, we then were driven to the wine tasting where Maria the owner gave us an amazing in depth tour of the facilities and took us through a fascinating wine tasting with 5 different Crete wines - 3 white, 1 rose and 1 red. Followed then by a delicious home cooked Greek meal. Would highly recommend and amazing value for money!

Such a great tour. The olive oil tour was nice and the hospitality was great. The olive oil and chutney was delicious we even bought some to take back home. The wine tour was also amazing. The tour guide at the wine tour really made sure to make it special. Wine was great also bought some to take back home. Our last stop was for lunch and a very cute village. The food was great as well. Manos our driver for the tours was amazing as well, he was very friendly, thank you for making sure we had a great time! Overall would recommend this tour.

This was such an amazing experience. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Each stop (olive oil tour and tasting, winery tour and tasting, and lunch in a small town south of Heraklion) was intimate informative and immersive. Yet we met some amazing people that we stopped with and were paired with at the stops throughout the day. Worth every penny. Thank you so much!
