See where the flowers come from by visiting a flower farm about 45 minutes outside of Medellín. Chat with the flower farmer, or silletero, and stroll the farm taking in all the flowers and their lovely aromas. Then visit Santa Elena, where farmers produce an abundant variety of tropical and local kinds of flowers. Includes hotel pickup and drop-off in Medellín.

Day trip to Santa Elena and flower farm

Mauricio was a great guide/companion for the day. We had good conversation and a side trip to get arepas and chorizo. It was a very nice day.

This tour was so good . The drive to the flower farm was very interesting. Our guide Luis pointed out sights along the way. The views were amazing. The flower farm was so beautiful. The hosts and Luis made sure our visit was extra special. We had a wonderful time and recommend that you do this tour if you love flowers.

Really cool trip learning about the history of the silleteros with guide David and silletero “Nacho”! Very tranquil place that you don’t want to leave, and having the history explained in English is very helpful. David explains a lot about the history of the area and is knowledgable about all things Medellin - and thanks for the empanada!!

Flower farm had day trip

Guide arrived on time. Very friendly interesting and helpful guide who was also our driver. The farmer was very welcoming and gave us a good insight to his flowers and making the displays for the flower festival. Delicious hot chocolate at local village on the way back and home via a great sunset view over Medellin. Would recommend this trip . Lovely peaceful contrast to the city.
