Overview

We'll visit a coffee plantation in Guatapé, where we learn from local farmers everything about the coffee process, from sowing the seed to drinking a cup of coffee, there you can collect the coffee and being for a while a coffee farmer. As we are in Guatapé, we have to go to the rock We continue heading to the boulder, get ready to climb more than 708 steps to reach the top, that adorns the landscape of eastern Antioquia and enjoy a breathtaking 360 degrees view from the dam and surrounding areas to capture unforgettable pictures. Then we go to the town, where we enjoy lunch before strolling around the most important landmarks of a town full of color, friendly people and corners with fascinating stories that we are going to share with you, how the tradition of "zócalos" (house facades painted) started and why is important for the inhabitants; if you are a chocolate lover, there's a shop waiting for you, also you will have time to buy handicraft from the local stores.

    We will visit a market to enjoy a delicious fruit tasting, then we go to the coffee farm where you will learn from the farmers everything about the coffee, from sowing the seed to drinking a cup of it, there you will be part of the entire process, picking, depulping, washing, drying and grounding, being for a while a coffee farmer before enjoying the flavor of our country.

This was such a fun day. Henry was the absolute best guide! He was so knowledgable, friendly and ready to do whatever to make our day easy and enjoyable. From climbing the rock to Guatape to the incredible coffee experience to exotic fruit tasting, the day was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for better!

ATVs, Coffee Farm, and Guatape

We had an amazing time on our tour with Henry. The highlight of the day was the ATV tour. He took great photos and videos of us and the views throughout the countryside were beautiful. After, we went to visit the coffee farm and got the full experience with Victor, the owner. It was interactive and fun and the coffee was amazing. We headed into Guatape for lunch and toured the town. We ended the day with La Piedra El Pinol. After climbing 708 steps, you are rewarded with 360 degree views of the lake. Well worth the climb. Overall, it was an amazing day.

Best Guatape and Coffee Tour

My sister and I booked this tour because we wanted to see Guatape and also have the experience of visiting a coffee farm. We were not sure what to expect but the experience far exceeded our expectations and we had much fun learning about the coffee plants and how they are picked, harvested, dried and roasted. And when it was all finished the coffee tasting was incredible. We will never ever drink coffee again without knowing that the flavor of a truly flavorful cup comes from the best beans! Oscar our tour guide was incredible. He took us through the town of Guatape and explained the history of the town. His knowledge added so much to our experience. We also went to the rock and it was beautiful. Again Oscar informed us of the history behind the rock and that added to the experience. We would highly recommend this tour!
