  • Parque Tematico Replica del Viejo Penol

    This is the relic of the town that was flooded to build the dam

  • Penol (Pass By)

    panoramic view of the New Peñol and their rock temple (church)

  • Guatape Dam

    This is the point where you choose the kind of boat that you want to use (you have to select the option "private VIP boat tour 1 hour" before reserve) to know the dam and the Narcos vacation houses, the church of the flooded town, and some important point for the history of the region

  • Plazoleta de los Zocalos

    A very beautiful and color full square, where you can take pictures and taste a lot of regional products

    40 minutes

  • Piedra Del Penol

    Visit the rock, a place where you can have a full view of the region and the artificial lake (the dam)

  • Guatape

    The place where we will take the lunch and a lot of good pictures of the town and the dam

Amazing Tour, Must See, and Great Tour Guide!

This was a great experience, and the highlight of our trip to Colombia. Guatape is an amazing place. Our tour guide, Felipe, was very good. He is very knowledgeable, witty and super fun. Felipe did a great job explaining everything in detail, including history, context and fun stories. We did not feel rushed at all and were able to explore all areas. We added the 1-hr boat ride - worth it to see the beautiful area from the water. The tour is comprehensive, includes visits to a couple of towns and the Guatape rock. Highly Recommend!
