Highlights of Rovaniemi Day Tour A Explore the Lapland's capital town, Rovaniemi, and experience life in the Arctic! Your exquisite day will start with an easy 15 minutes hike for the beautiful scenery of Rovaniemi city. Climbing to the hilltop of Ounasvaara, the highest point in Rovaniemi, you will be in the middle of the dreamy Finnish forest. Ride on a sleigh in the local reindeer and husky farms. Meet Santa Claus in his village and get your Arctic adventurer certificate for crossing the Arctic Circle. Finally, you will learn everything about arctic in the Arktikum museum, where you will see the exhibition of arctic animals, indigenous people Sami, and local history from the ice age to the present.

Itinerary

  • Ounasvaara Winter Trail

    Your exquisite day will start with an easy 15 minutes hike for the beautiful scenery of Rovaniemi city. Climbing to the hilltop of Ounasvaara, the highest point in Rovaniemi, you will be in the middle of the dreamy Finnish forest. After the hike, you will visit the husky and reindeer farm. Feel the excitement of the speedy sleigh ride with energetic huskies, and relax on a comfy sleigh as your reindeer takes you into the nature.

  • Santa Claus Village

    Visit the Santa Claus Village and get a certificate for crossing the Arctic Circle line, spend your time in the fairy-tale village full of shops with arctic products, and of course, meet the Santa Claus himself! Inside the village is an official Santa Claus post office, where the elves will help you sending a message to your loved ones with the special stamp.

    Finally, you will learn everything about arctic in the Arktikum museum, where you will see the exhibition of arctic animals, indigenous people Sami, and local history from the ice age to the present. You can also find information and a display of Northern lights.

Rovaniemi Half Day Tour.

From the welcome in the office and booking this trip was effortless. Our guide Thalis was right on time and our trip was underway, a small party of 7. First stop was the Husky ride, everything was explained and we got time to spend time with the dogs afterwards for pictures. Next was the reindeer ride and the same can be said for that. Onto the Santa Village which again was all explained very well by Thalis, we had lunch and finished at the museum. Overall an excellent day out and well worth it. Big round of applause for our guide who was experienced and attentive to all.

We did the Santa Claus village tour with CRISSY. She was an excellent guide picking us up from our accommodation after sending a reminder re pick up. She was very sensitive to the needs of the group and engaged with all of us. The wait to meet Santa was reasonable - c 40 minutes. Lunch was delicious and we even had time to explore on our own

Jerry and Paola were our guides. They did an excellent job. Very enthusiastic about the tour. The activities were excellent. A little bit of everything. My 8 year old (son) had a great time. Lunch buffet was not great but It did not take away from the activities. Overall highly recommend it.
