Overview

Berlin was the city at the heart of Hitler's Third Reich and this walking tour with an expert private guide will show you the Berlin of World War Two. The monuments, memorials, and other sites where key events happened. Today, Berlin is a modern, vibrant capital city. But this tour takes you on a journey through its dark and complex past. Berlin was the city where terrible atrocities took place from the book burnings of 1933 to the horrific events of Kristallnacht in 1939 which saw the growing open and state-sanctioned violence towards the Jewish population. Berlin was heavily bombed during World War II and later divided between East and West by the infamous Berlin Wall throughout the Cold War. From the Brandenburg Gate to Checkpoint Charlie, from the former site of Hitler’s Bunker and the Topography of Terror to the Memorial to the 6 million Murdered Jews of Europe, this is a fascinating and necessary tour of Berlin during the Second World War.

A must do tour in Berlin

We did a tour in Milan with LivTours that we really liked and we wanted to repeat it in Berlin with this private WWII tour. On this occasion our guide JB was also perfect and explained to us the entire turbulent history of the city. Without a doubt, an essential tour in Berlin.
