Wonderful drive from Losbon to Porto

Miguel was an amazing guide; extremely knowledgeable, patient, flexible, and fun. He commands a wealth of knowledge, equally comfortable discussing historical figures as he was discussing local cuisine. He was always prompt, always attentive and allowed us to tailor a portion of our tour. He had a stable of comfortable to luxurious vehicles that were well maintained and air conditioned adding to an amazing experience. We visited Lisboa, Sintra, Cascais, Nazare, Coimbra, Porto, and wine country along the Duro River. We could not have had a more fun and fulfilling adventure thanks to Miguel.

Miguel is fantastic. Educated, professional, warm and a pleasure to spend time with. We had the pleasure of private transport and tours for 5 days. We are not typically tour type travelers but this experience was customized to our preferences. We had the privilege of experiencing Portugal through a local’s lens. Miguel shared his personal mom and pop favorites with us and gave us tips for the time we had on our own. We plan to visit again and will definitely book with I GO Portugal again and request Miguel.

Amazing trip from Lisbon to Porto

Amazing trip with Carlos Silva who tailor-made the day trip for us. We learned so much about Portugal from him! First he drove us to Obidos and took us to a wonderful bakery, and a shop that served Ginjinha da porta. Then we went to Coimbra. We were going to have to skip the Library because we didn't have tickets and they were sold out. He was able to arrange some at the last minute (Don't plan on this service, get your tickets in advance!). In Coimbra we had a great lunch in an out-of-the way family-run restaurant where we had outstanding cozido sandwiches. On to Aveiro, where he took us out of the way so we could get a photo of the striped houses. Finally, we arrived at our hotel in Porto, tired but elated. Carlos also gave us suggestions for restaurants in Porto. What we thought was going to be a good way to get from Lisbon to Porto turned into one of the highlights of our trip!

Highly recommend Carlos for a fun and educational day trip!

Carlos created a wonderful, day-long experience for us, stopping in two cities along the way to Porto. He was so knowledgeable about history and culture that we learned a huge amount while having a good time. Carlos was also prompt, professional, and a great driver.
