Highly recommend!

This was recommended to us by a friend and we are so happy we did it. The transfers were really easy and we enjoyed going round the market first to pick our food. The class was really well led, the whole family got involved who were all very kind and accommodating, and we were had so much fun! The food was incredible and we got to try such a lot, would highly recommend this class to anyone.

Incredible welcoming experience

We had an amazing time doing this cooking class. Ranees picked us up from where we were staying in his Tuktuk and we were welcomed into his home with fresh papaya juices. Ranees and his wife talked us through all of the spices in the kitchen and the ingredients we would be using. We made lots of delicious dishes whilst chatting to Ranees and his family. The food was the best I have tasted so far in Sri Lanka, especially the jackfruit curry and fried aubergine. I would recommended this cooking class to everyone.

We had the most incredible time with Ranees and his family. We immediately felt part of their family as we were welcomed into their gorgeous home with a fresh papaya juice before then starting the cooking class. Ranees spoke through all of the spices and vegetables we would be using before then getting us involved in preparing and cooking the delicious dishes. Some of our favourites were the jackfruit curry and the fried aubergine dish but all of them were super tasty. They couldn’t have done anything more to make us feel more welcome and a part of their family. We couldn’t recommend this experience enough, it was the most fun activity we have done so far in Sri Lanka! 10/10 highly recommend!

Brilliant experience while staying in Kandy. Our host Renee picked us up straight from our hotel and took us to the market to collect ingredients before heading to his house to cook with his family. They involved our kids in all cooking, explaining the ingredients and how to cook each dish. We were then welcomed to the table in the house for a fab feast of the food we made while chatting with Renee and his family. So friendly and relaxed! The food was so fresh, authentic and tasty and we all loved this experience. Thanks again to Renee and his family! We now have the recipes to make at home and memories of a great evening, including some candid photos taken by the family. Highly recommended experience!

A cooking experience you wont forget complete with recipes

Absolutely fantastic experience! My host Ranees went above and beyond in terms of market shopping, cooking prep and explanation about the 10 delicious dishes. At the end I was provided all the recipes and more, and Ramees was kind enough to detour on my lift home to buy some clay cooking pots. I highly recommend this for all ages.
