Overview

Međugorje is one of the most famous Catholic pilgrimages in the world. Although never officially approved by Vatican, it is a place that millions of believers visited. We offer you a comfort drive to Međugorje. Next stop is Mostar, the city situated in the south of The Bosnia and Herzegovina. This city has been proclaimed in the twenty most visited cities in the world with very interesting surroundings and gorgeous history. Different kind of inhabitants, cultures and religions getting this city very famous and important for the western Balkan. Moreover, you are able to try the most famous Bosnian food and traditional Bosnian coffee in the Old town of Mostar.

Itinerary

  • Franjo Tudman Bridge

    From the terrace, you can see the turquoise waters of the Rijeka Dubrovačka bay stretching out in front of you. The bay is surrounded by steep cliffs and rocky hills, covered in lush Mediterranean vegetation. On the right side of the bridge, you can see the new city of Dubrovnik, Lapad and cruise ship terminal in the Port Gruž. On the left side of the bridge, you can see the rolling hills of the Dubrovnik countryside, dotted with small villages and olive groves. In the distance, you can see the majestic Mount Srđ, which offers another spectacular viewpoint of the city. Overall, the view from the terrace of the Dr. Franjo Tuđman Bridge is a perfect combination of natural beauty and historic charm, offering a unique perspective on one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

  • Medjugorje

    Medjugorje gained worldwide recognition in 1981 when six young people claimed to have had apparitions of the Virgin Mary. The apparitions have continued to this day, and the town has become a pilgrimage site for Catholics who seek spiritual renewal and healing. The town is known for its peaceful and serene atmosphere, with its rolling hills and scenic countryside providing a beautiful backdrop for spiritual reflection. Visitors can participate in daily masses, confession, and adoration, as well as attend talks and conferences on the Catholic faith. The main attraction of Medjugorje is the Apparition Hill, where the Virgin Mary first appeared to the young people in 1981. Many visitors climb the hill on their knees as a sign of devotion and humility. The town is also home to the Church of St. James, a beautiful and sacred place where pilgrims can attend mass and participate in other spiritual activities.

  • Mostar

    Mostar is a city located in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina, known for its rich history and beautiful architecture. The most iconic landmark in Mostar is the Stari Most, or "Old Bridge," which spans the Neretva River in the heart of the city. The Stari Most was originally built in the 16th century during the Ottoman Empire, and it is considered to be one of the finest examples of Islamic architecture in the Balkans. The bridge was designed by the Ottoman architect Mimar Hayruddin, and it quickly became a symbol of the city's cultural and architectural heritage. During the Bosnian War in the 1990s, the Stari Most was destroyed by Croatian forces, causing widespread shock and devastation. However, in 2004, the bridge was rebuilt using traditional techniques and materials, and it was officially reopened to the public. Overall, Mostar and the Stari Most are a testament to the resilience and cultural richness of the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina

This is a ten star trip. My wife and I had a great day with Dejana, our guide. Her knowledge of the people, customs, locations, and history was outstanding. Dejana had some fantastic food recommendations in Mostar. Beautiful waterfalls, great scenery and food in Mostar, and a powerful trip to Medugorje. Very good climbing or hiking shoes recommended and a walking stick for Medugorje. It’s a steep and rocky climb. Euros and credit cards easily used on the whole trip. Carry enough Euros as some shops and food places will only take Euros or Bosnian currency.

Fantastic tour with CruiserTaxi! Elvir was an amazing guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about his culture. Highlights included coffee at a café on a waterfall, an abandoned medieval town, and a visit to Mostar with a great traditional lunch. He tailored everything to our interests and got us back to the ship right on time. Highly recommend!

Excellent guide. Lovely tour in spite of the rain. The stops, lunch venues, etc. , were well thought of and were lovely. Elvir, our guide, catered to our schedule and our needs. He is an excellent driver too and knew short cuts to avoid traffic when possible. We were so pleased that we hired him again for 2 additional private tours to Split and Montenegro. Highly recommend!

While this was not an inexpensive tour it was one of the best we have ever been on and my wife and I have absolutely no regrets. Elvir is the owner of Cruiser Taxi and was out host for the day. He had good communications and showed up on time. Since it was just my wife and I he drove a very nice Skoda which was quite comfortable. He also has other vehicles that can accommodate larger groups. He was very knowledgeable on the region and I enjoyed talking to him about a variety of subjects. He was also flexible as to the itinerary which was great as my wife wanted to spend more time at some location's and less at others. He also took us to some out of the way places that most people would drive, or walk, right past. It made for a very memorable and enjoyable day. In fact, we hired him for a few hours the next day to give us a custom tour around Dubrovnik and then take us to the airport. If we go back to Dubrovnik I will definitely look to do something with Elvir again. He is looking into expanding his business to possibly include some overnight trips. I hope he is able to pull this off as I believe it would offer some great destinations that cannot be reached during a day trip. Highly recommended!
