Overview

I’m inviting you to spend a really sensational day. Probably one of the most beautiful you'll have in Provence. I'll take you to one of my favorite spots in Gorges du Verdon where I go with my family and friends. The best way to explore this unic place is to have a boat ride in the canyon, the biggest in all Europe. You'll drive your little private electric boat having a picnic with some local wines. You can jump to the water or just unwind admiring the nature (2 hours easy drive, very calm water). Then we'll stop on few lavender fields off the beaten path. If you have a chance, you'll be the only one strolling there and taking pictures. Their beauty is really indescribable, even after the blooming period! The next stop is the perched village Sainte-Croix with its incredible view of the Sainte Croix lake. Free time for a walk in the village or beach time by the lake. *In case of bad weather, instead of the boat, I'll drive you to the charming Moustiers-Sainte-Marie village.

Great tour in beautiful scenery

Overall a great experience with a really friendly host. Starting with a boat trip at the Gorges du Verdon you might want to take the maximum amount of time to explore the area by electric boat. A very relaxing experience. The lavender fields were already fully harvested but it was nevertheless an enjoyable ride through the Provence to the next stop St. Croix, a lovely old town nestled on a hill next to a lake. Tomasz, the host provided us with a delicious picnic containing bread, fruit, cheese, some other cold delicacies, and local wine. The host in general was very friendly and eager to share his knowledge of the area. He took great care of us throughout the day and was driving from spot to spot, organising things, while giving us privacy during the activities. Overall, highly recommended trip that you will surely enjoy!

Perfect Day

We started with a timely pickup right outside of our accommodations in Aix, and we were so grateful to have Tom navigate the winding drive in a comfortable vehicle while we were able to just sit back and relax. After boating Tom went out of his way to make sure we were able to stop and see all of the lavender and sunflower fields we could handle-not the easiest feat considering harvest had already begun. He also volunteered to capture our many family photos :-). We then finished the day with ice cream, drinks and a swim at the village and lake of Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon. Finally, we were delivered right back to the front step of our apartment in Aix. Anyone can make arrangements to go see these sights on their own, but Tom makes the experience local, unique and completely hassle-free.
