Extremely poor and apathetic service
Unfortunately, I have massive regrets booking this tour with the company let’s book travel.
We missed our tour because of a few reasons:
1) while information was provided for pick up, it was different across different platforms. For example, pick up in my email confirmation was “8.30am, Monastiraki square” whereas in the Viator app, it was “7.35am Attalos hotel”.
2) there was no way to directly contact the travel operator. In the email, there are links to a phone number, a WhatsApp number and and email address. All of which either direct you to their online portal (which somehow does not function well), their customer service bot (which repeatedly says they are busy and cannot be contacted) and their WhatsApp which redirects you to their online portal (which again does not function well at all). Their phone line is always engaged, and they will always say they are too busy to speak. In short, this travel operator does not want to be contacted at all.
3) when I was finally able to reach them, they were unwilling to accommodate (I had offered to meet the tour halfway so that we could continue with the planned activities) - this was immediately shot down with no explanation why - simply “it cannot be done”.
4) I then asked to shift the booking - to which the reply was “unfortunately it cannot be done because some tickets for the trio have already been paid for”. There is not even an attempt to follow up with any sort of customer service or assistance. I was not asking for a full refund, simply a shift of the booking. I would have been willing to top up any difference in price to make up for the new cost of tickets.
5) Given this experience, I can only conclude that that this tour operator is only in this for the money. They have no interest in assisting customers, their entire feedback process is designed to turn people away, and their booking instructions are complicated and contradictory.
We have been on multiple tours across various parts of Europe, and unfortunately I must say this is the absolute worst experience we’ve had. I would highly recommend that anyone looking to visit Athens avoid this company at all costs.
