Overview

The Ludwig Maximlian University, located directly at one of the entrances to the English Garden, is the perfect starting point for a rickshaw ride through the entire English Garden. With trained guides, you can discover both the well-attended highlights of the southern part (Chinese tower, surfer wave on the Eisbach, Kleinhesseloher See), the Maximiliansanlagen between Friedensengel and Maximilianuem and the northern part of the English Garden. If we are lucky, a flock of sheep, the amphitheater, the Minihofbräuhaus and a lot of nature and architecture await us there. In the middle of the city!

Meeting points

At the fountain of the Geschwister-Scholl-Platz, main entrance to the LMU. Across from Ludwigstrasse we get directly into the English Garden.

    One of the largest and most beautiful city parks in the world. Well visited in the southern part, relaxed in the countryside in the northern part. With a Chinese tower, surfer wave, Kleinhesseloher See, Hirschau, Aumeister, amphitheater and if you are lucky a flock of sheep !!!

Such a fantastic way to see the English Garden and to get an introduction to Munich from a local. It would be a shame to spoil the surprises by giving too many details but you will be in for a real treat.

English Gardens 2 hr journey

The English Gardens were a beautiful destination. It was very relaxing - a perfect and romantic choice for two jet lagged travelers! Agnes was so pleasant and informative. She was responsive to our desires. stopping where we wanted more or less time. When requested, she showed us a couple of reasonable but good Bavarian restaurants. She was a fantastic guide.
