Overview

  • Schloss Mirabell & Mirabellgarten (Pass By)

    See the beautiful Mirabell Gardens where the song "Do-Re-Mi" was filmed. After or before joining the tour, we recommend seeing the gardens on your own exploring the Pegasus Fountain as well as the Do-Re-Mi steps.

  • Stift Nonnberg (Pass By)

    You'll pass by the Nonnberg Convent, where Maria was a novice and got married to Baron von Trapp.

  • Schloss Hellbrunn

    The next photo stop are the gardens of Schloss Hellbrunn, where you will visit the glass gazebo used in the movie for the kissing scene of Maria and Baron von Trapp.

    Enjoy the breathtaking view during a photo stop at Lake Leopoldskron mirroring the palace, where the famous boating scene was filmed.

Fabulous tour, Alenka the guide and driver very knowledgeable and friendly. Was a really good insight to the movie and we say some best sights if the countryside. would highly recommend this tour.

Sound of Music On a personal level, my family was one of the many to sit at the piano and play all the songs from the Roger’s and Hammerstein Sound of Music Broadway music book. From a documentary on TV, I’m surprised to discover that many people living in Salzburg don’t know anything about The Sound of Music. The tour lasted about four hours and stopped at many of the iconic scenes from the movie. The soundtrack was played on the bus while riding around and everyone sang along with the soundtrack. It was fun!

We went on this tour on a drizzly Sunday but Kylie soon cheered us all up in her Tyrollean costume and such enthusiasm She was an excellent guide knew all about the Sound of Music and took us to the main locations with plenty of of information We went around Salzburg out to Mondsee to see the church and for some apple strudel Would be nice to do again in the spring

The overall experience was great. The tour guide was very knowledgeable on the theme, and we had a fun sing-along. We visited the places from "The Sound of Music," but we were only able to see them from the outside. Even in January these places were picture perfect.
