Nighttour

The two guides brought me to a private area and this was a great extra treat because I felt like we were alone in the jungle. On the main “jungle” road there are many more tour guides so you can imagine beging on a private stretch is so much better. We took at least two hours and there was no rushing. Very knowledgeable guides with sharp eyes!

Exciting tour of Costa Rican nocturnal wildlife

Jordan was a fantastic guide; knowledgeable and spoke great English. Saw a variety of frogs, spiders and other creatures. Got thoroughly soaked but was great as part of the experience. Provided with torch but could have been a bit brighter. Highly recommend.

Wonderful night walk

This hike allows you to observe the nocturnal wildlife of a tropical forest right next to the National Park of Tortuguero. Our guide Jason knows a lot and is able to spot many animals (snakes, huge spiders, nocturnal butterflies, different frog species, land crabs and many more). His explanaitions are very interesting. You enjoy the nightlife in a peaceful, but also adventurous way. The company provides you with the necessary gear for this hike.

We saw many wild animals during the nightwalk: several frogs, a coral snake, moths, tarantulas and other spiders and even a leopard footprint! Of course also many mosquitoes, so be prepared for that. They offer boots, flashlights and ponchos for the nightwalk, which we thankfully accepted. Bryan took us to another part of the jungle by boat, where we met our second tour guide. Together they gave us a very interesting and magical experience. It was only me and my friend, so we got a private tour. Thanks guys, we enjoyed it a lot! All together it took about 2 hours (6-8pm).
